1.conduct [conduct oneself]vt.

表現,為人,行為：

He conducted himself in a gracious manner.

他為人和藹可親。

指導，管理，經營；進行；實施；處理：

Actors may hire agents to conduct their affairs.

演員可以僱用經紀人掌管他們的事務。

He should learn how to conduct a meeting.

他應當學習如何主持會議。

2.attain, finish, accomplish, complete, achieve

attain達到，實現，常用於一般人的能力不易達到的目的。如：Greater efforts are needed before we can attain our goals.

finish 最常用，後接動詞的-ing形式，表示在一個活動的連續過程中完成了最後的一步或階段。如：I』ll finish the job alone. (我要獨自完成這項工作。)

accomplish表成功，強調完成的結果而不是過程。如：Because of his hard word, things are accomplished. (由於他的努力，事情都已完成了。)

complete 表示積極的完成，更具體地指建築、工程等的完成。如：Has he complete his novel yet? (他的小說寫完了嗎？)

achieve 完成，實現，強調通過努力而達到目的。如：You will achieve success if you work hard.

3.according to 按照

補充語法：及物動詞與不及物動詞的區分：

1)及物動詞 後面必須跟賓語意義才完整的實義動詞，叫做及物動詞(transitive verb)。如：

I believe that the committee will consider our suggestion.我相信委員會將會考慮我們的建議。

「How long can I keep the book ?」Harry asked.哈里問：「這本書我可以借多久?」

Crude oil contains many useful substances.原油含有許多有用的物質。

2)不及物動詞 本身意義完整後面不須跟賓語的實義動詞，叫做不及物動詞(intransitive verb)。如：

It happened in June 1932.這件事發生於一九三；年六月。

My watch stopped.我的錶停了。

She spoke at the meeting yesterday evening. 她在昨天晚上的會上發了言。
