3/24題目：Some people believethat newspaper is the best way to learn about news. While others believe that more effective way is through other media. Discuss both views andgive your opinion.

It seems that newspaper has always been functioning as a major source of news(背景). While some people claim it is the best channel to keep informed, I would argue that digital media is more effective in delivering news(觀點).

Reading newspaper is considered the optimal way by some people to obtain information(主題句). This is reasonable since news in paper form, edited by professional journalists from news agencies, is news-worthy and thus readable(why?). For example, some financial newspapers present readers with the most influential events in financial sector every day(example). This is conducive to time-saving as readers could be aware of the most important happenings in several minutes(so？). In contrast,other media such as TV may be less effective because audiences are exposed to not only news but also other information(對比). This is why print media is believed to enjoy advantages over the rest(summary).

In spite of the above argument, I would agree with others who think it is more effective to learn news from other media, notably digital media(主題句). Digital media are gaining popularity in recent years for the content renewed at an astonishing rate(why?). For instance, many people in the workplace now prefer computersor smart phones to newspapers to gain information(example). Viewers could access up-to-the-minute world news in no time via these electronic devices(so？). Traditional media, however, could hardly compete in speed due to high printing cost(對比). Therefore, I would vote for these new types of media(summary).

In conclusion, although newspaper plays an irreplaceable role in transmitting news, its importance is being undermined by emerging digital media(觀點重述). Traditional media are sensible to acknowledge the challenge and conduct necessary reforms（advice）. (270)
