題目:

Some people think that too much money and time have been allocated in scientific research.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

坡姐讀題:

這是典型的政府類話題，雖然題中沒有出現government，但是看到too much time&money就知道，只有政府才這麼牛，才有這麼多money.所以，看到這裡，很多烤鴨就很清楚了，這不就是跟一般的政府類話題一樣了嗎?該不該投資其他領域這種題目，完全就是一個模子刻出來的。

A criticism often heard these days is that（爭議類話題的開頭寫法） money and time used for scientific research tend to be wasted and contribute a little to the social development.Instead,(取而代之的是）those urgent fields should be funed,like education, medicine and so forth.As for me,it is completely reasonable for the research on science to be paid more attention and money.

Admittedly, it is justified（合理的，說得通的） to say that those fields closely associated with（與...緊密相連的)citizens daily lives deserve the governments more supports.（理應獲得政府更多的支持For instance,education,which concerns the long-term development of the whole nation,should also receive more financial aid.More talented students will be cultivated（可以用來替換educate,train） due to the abundance of governments involvment ,thus offering more intellectual support.However,investment should not be confined within the boundary of(不應該限制於...領域)one aspect.Scientific research still plays an indispensable part in modern life.

There is a necessity for the government to prioritise(把...優先)scientific research,because the breakthrough in this area can make a practical contribution to society(對社會做出實際的貢獻).To begin with,with abundant financial aid to be used in the medical research, humans can profit a lot from it.Indeed,a new breed of medicine has to be experimented for many times before being used on humans.Additionally,scientific research has laid a foundation for (打下堅實的基礎)improvement of peoples living standard.Those inventions ,like air conditioning,television,and air plane,have truly revolutionized(改革，革新）our life ways.

Overall, scientific research ought to share the same importance as（與...享有同樣的重要性） those other fields.Therefore, it should not be to blame for constituting too much time or fund.
