迦比爾之歌

迦比爾（Kabir）是15世紀印度神秘主義詩人，近百年來在西方受到重視。而在東方，伊斯蘭教和印度教更為爭奪他的文化遺產展開長期的爭鬥。諷刺的是，他在世時卻同時遭到這兩個宗教的唾棄，只能從事賤民的工作，生活非常貧困。

迦比爾主張眾生平等、宗教融合。他所構建的信仰體系就是取伊斯蘭教和印度教的精華，奉羅摩為獨一天神。他的思想直接影響後來的印度教巴克提運動和錫克教經文。

以下選取迦比爾最具代表性的、足以管中窺豹的三首詩歌。它們是根據20世紀印度詩人、翻譯家阿文德·克里希納·梅赫羅特拉（Arvind Krishna Mehrotra）的英譯本詩集《迦比爾之歌》（Songs of Kabir）轉譯的。

死亡已經瞄準了他們，

乞丐也好，國王也好。

人生不過是舞動的影子，

一切皆虛無。

然而，肉身是湖泊，

靈魂是天鵝，

只要化學物在你的舌頭上，

迦比爾說，那叫羅摩。
