什麼是倒裝？

完全倒裝

1. There be+ 主語+……，此結構中的be有時用stand / exist / lie / live / flow/ seem等不及物動詞代替

• There was a loud scream from the backstage immediately after the concert ended.
• There seems to be something wrong with the machine.

2. Here/ There/ Now/ Then/ Thus +不及物動詞+名詞

• There goes the bell. Lets go to the lecture hall.
• Be quick! Here comes the bus.

3．Out/ In/ Up/ Down/ Away/ Off/ Back/ Over + 不及物動詞+ 名詞

• Out rushed the children.
• Away flew the birds.

4. 介詞短語 (表地點)+ 不及物動詞 + 主語

• From the valley came a frightening sound.
• On the wall ---hang two large portraits.

5. 表語+連繫動詞+主語（表語可以是：形容詞、介詞短語、現在分詞、過去分詞）

• Present (形容詞) at the meeting were Professor White, Professor Smith and many other guests.
• Gone (過去分詞) are the days when they could do what they liked to the Chinese people.

6. Such + be + 主語

• Such was Albert Einstein, a simple man and the 20th centurys greatest scientist.
• Such are the facts; no one can deny them.

7. 為了保持句子平衡，或為了強調錶語或狀語或為了使上下文緊密銜接時

• They arrived at a farmhouse, in front of which sat a small boy.
• To the list may be added the following names.
