4 人贊了文章SOCIETY 這個詞在雅思寫作中出現得頻率十分得高。當我們在論述過程中需要論述的內容與社會發展相關時，我們需要用到它。

作為一個概念講時，society 表達的是一個general idea，也就是說這時它是個不可數名詞，不需要加冠詞，無單複數變化。

例：

1. The increasing number of elderly people in society tends tobe seen as a problem.

2. Its a modern prison focused on reforming inmates andpreparing themfor a return to society.

3. Not every member of our society has equal access to the innovation economy.

4. We must also consider the needs of the older members of society.

5. Now they are seen as teachers, training people to become useful members of society.

當 society 作為可數名詞時，它實際上是指代社會類型或國家。

例：

1. Americans live in amulticultural society.

2. We Chinese live in a communist society.

3. In large, modern societies, the full participation of every citizen in politics is impossible.

4. Many societies and cultures consider homosexuality to be contrary to their culture, morality or religion.
