場景三：

今天是Stefan的不知道100多少歲的生日，Damon想邀請他和Lexi去參加一個聚會，Lexi顯得很期待，卻不知死神的腳步正向她邁進，雖然Stefan有不好的預感，但是他卻沒想到這次聚會卻葬送了他百年老友的性命。

Lexi：I"m almost ready.

Stefan：Can"t believe you actually think that we should go to this thing.

Lexi：It"s not like I"m asking you to run outside mid-day without your ring.I mean,seriously, it"s a party.

Stefan：A party that Damon wants us to go to, you know.So my question is, "why?" I think he"s up to something.

Lexi：Who cares? I mean, what can he possibly do in front of all those people in a public place?

Stefan：He knows how to keep a low profile, believe me.

Lexi：Ok. So he"ll behave.come on. One day a year, I get you,one day that you"re not brooding and existing in your own head.

Stefan：It"s my birthday,yeah?

Lexi：It"s my day, and that guy that jumped naked in the Trevi Fountain and got drunk on the torch of the statue of liberty,that guy can take a break from all of his worrying for one night and go to a stupid party.so quit your whining...and go get you ready.

Stefan：Fine.

Lexi：我快準備好了。

Stefan：真不敢相信你真的覺得我們該去。

Lexi：這又不是我們在正午的時候不帶戒指出去。說真的，這只是一個派對啊。

Stefan：你要知道，是Damon想讓我們去的派對。因此我納悶的是「為什麼」。我覺得他在預謀什麼。

Lexi：那又怎樣？我是說，在公共場合，在眾人面前，他又能做什麼？

Stefan：他知道怎麼低調做事，相信我。

Lexi：好吧，他會乖乖的。別這樣，一年我只要求你一天，是你能盡情方總的一天，而且這些能永存於你腦子裡。

Stefan：今天是我過生日，對吧？

Lexi：是我的日子，而那個曾赤裸裸的跳進許願池裡，並且站在自由女神像的火炬上喝的爛醉的男人，他有一晚的時間能從他的煩惱中得以喘息，所以去參加這個愚蠢的聚會吧。不要再發牢騷…好好準備下。

Stefan：那好吧。

本來說不參加派對的Elena最終還是來了，Lexi很想化解她和Stefan的矛盾，因為他知道，Stefan是真心喜歡她。

Lexi：Ah,the famous Elena.

Elena：Towel girl.

Lexi：I"ve been called worse.

Waitress：Here.

Elena：I didn"t know that you guys could drink.

Lexi：Oh,yeah. It helps curb the cravings,but makes for a lot of lushy vamps.

Elena：You know,I"ve never seen stefan drunk. He always seems so...

Lexi：Uptight?

Elena：Yeah. Yeah.but not with you.

Lexi：Well,that"s the benefit of knowing someone for over 100 years.You can just be yourself.

Elena：Yeah,he can"t be himself with me.

Lexi：Well,not yet.The first step was him telling you.The rest comes with time.

Elena：You seem so sure.

Lexi：The love of my life was human.He went through what I imagine you"re going through...denial,anger, et cetera.But at the end of the day,love really did conquer all.Are you gonna drink that?

Elena：Oh.no,go for it.I"m scared.

Lexi：But you"re here...because you"re crazy about him.I get it,ok?I mean,what"s not to love?Listen.take it from someone who"s been around a long time.When it"s real, you can"t walk away.

Lexi：赫赫有名的Elena。

Elena：浴巾女孩。

Lexi：我有被叫過更糟的。

Waitress：給你。

Elena：我不知道你們吸血鬼還喝酒。

Lexi：對，這對減輕血癮有幫助，但那也造就了很多爛醉的吸血鬼。

Elena：你知道，我從來沒看過Stefan醉過。他看起來總是那麼…

Lexi：緊張？

Elena：恩，是的，但和你在一起時就不會。

Lexi：是啊，那就是認識了100年的好處所在。所以他在無拘無束。

Elena：是啊，和我在一起的時候他就不能無拘無束。

Lexi：快了，他都已經邁出第一步告訴你他是吸血鬼了，其他事情就是時間問題了。

Elena：看起來你很確信？

Lexi：我當年的至愛也是人類。他所經歷的也正是你現在正經歷的…抵制，憤怒，等等。但是最終，愛情戰勝了一切。你那杯酒還要喝嗎？

Elena：不，不喝了，你請吧。（停頓）我很害怕。

Lexi：但是，你已經在這了…因為你是深愛著他的。我明白，我是說，誰能不愛他呢？聽我說，我在世上活了這麼久，當真愛出現時，千萬不要錯過。
