　　It is a good idea to prepare your CV early so that whenever you spot a good opportunity you can go for it. However, it is worth noting that the style of an English CV is different from that of a Chinese CV. Don"t just translate directly. There are plenty of templates online for you to refer to.

　　Tailor your cover letter 求職信要有針對性

　　Another important thing to bear in mind is that you must tailor your CV so that it suits the specific requirements of a particular company. Don"t give people the impression that it is a generic one – one for all.

　　在寫求職信附信時很重要的一點是必須做到量體裁衣。針對某一個公司的具體要求和特點去寫，要有針對性。千萬不能讓對方感覺到你是一個版本到處發。

　　Seek advice from your university Career Service 諮詢職業服務中心

　　You will find that most universities will have a careers service. It"s there to provide guidance and tips as well as practical help such as editing your CV and interview preparations. So you should make full use of the free facilities at hand. It"s much better than doing it on your own.

　　你會發現大部分大學都有職業服務中心。專門為本校生提供就業建議和指導。比如，幫助學生修改個人簡歷和準備面試等等。應該充分利用唾手可得的資源，那樣比你一個人孤軍奮戰要好得多。

　　Recommendation by your tutor 導師推薦

　　A strong recommendation from your tutor is most useful. But he or she won"t do it just because he or sheis your tutor. It"s down to you to leave a good impression so that he or she feels that you are worth the recommendation. If he or she is keen to do it, it will be a convincing one.

　　導師推薦信非常有用。不過不要以為他/她是你的導師就必須要替你寫推薦。這就要看你能不能給他/她留下好印象，讓對方覺得你是一名值得推薦的學生。如果他/她樂於寫推薦，那麼這樣的推薦信一定是很具有說服力的。
