BEIJING: China is committed to no-first-use of nuclear weapons policy and its support for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT), a senior Chinese diplomat said on Sunday.

"China maintains a very small nuclear arsenal, and follows the policy of self-defence and minimum deterrence... China is committed to the principle of no first use of nuclear weapon," Fu Ying, a veteran diplomat and chairperson of the foreign affairs committee of the National People"s Congress, China"s top legislature, said at the Munich security conference. She also called for upgrading the global security governance.

中國一位高級外交官表示，中國恪守不首先動用核武器的政策，支持全面多邊核禁試條約。

中國維持著一個相當小的核武庫，遵守自衛和最小程度核威懾的政策。中國恪守不首先動用核武器的原則。
