MODEL ANSWER 範文:
I would like to begin my answer by talking about a time that I went to a birthday party while wearing a Chinese tunic suit. It was during the Month of April and one of my friends from college was celebrating her 18th birthday and her parents decided to hold a lavish birthday party. Personally, I knew that my classmate was an only child so I expected that she will be showered with love by her parents, by having an elaborate birthday celebration.
In preparation for the event, I decided to go to a nearby tailoring shop to look for attire which suitable for a grand event, since I thought the standards for clothing was really high. It was then that I noticed a classy looking black 「Mao」 suit that was hanged beside the counter, near the private employee』s room. I asked the salesperson if it was for sale or for rent. He replied by saying that it』s only for sale and that the price is quite steep. That caught me a little off guard since I didn』t expect to pay something very expensive on that day but since the attire really caught my attention, I decided to purchase it even though I knew it would cost me a lot.
And so, here I was wearing the suit while mustering enough confidence to even go to the party. That』s when I decided to go to the party with my two best buds, David and Jack. When they finally saw me, they said I looked really stylish and cool. In addition, they thought I was a different person, like I was a celebrity, a politician or a rich businessman that was really popular.
It was too much, all this appreciation got to my head and made feel so smug about myself but thanks to that, I didn』t feel so nervous or shy attending such a spectacular event with me looking a little too dressed than I』m used to. I realized in the end it was all worth it since I got wear a clothing that improved my self-esteem and I got to experience dressing for a grand occasion such as this.
