力挺了一個「真氣運行培訓班」，甘肅省衛生廳長劉維忠被舉國關注了。這個培訓班號稱讓41人打通了任督二脈。隨後，劉維忠被輿論「圍攻」。

記者採訪發現，早在「打通任督二脈」之前，劉維忠發展中醫藥的步子就邁得很大。做廳長4年來，他對中醫的「扶持」，滲透到各個方面。例如要求每個西醫科室配中醫，例如讓西醫脫產學習中醫，職稱考試考中醫。

按照甘肅省中醫藥發展規劃，再結合甘肅省人口數，到2015年，甘肅預計每人年均看中醫21次。

41人「打通了任督二脈」，劉維忠自己站在了風口浪尖。

5月26日，甘肅省衛生廳宣傳處處長楊敬科說，廳長劉維忠近來壓力大，氣色不好。「無葯治病」事業正被質疑。

此前，5月22日，劉維忠在微博上轉發了一則來自衛生廳官網的新聞：甘肅省47名醫務骨幹參加了「真氣運行法」培訓班，經9天培訓，41人「打通了任督二脈」。

消息一出，輿論嘩然。劉維忠此前推崇豬蹄治病、黃花菜治抑鬱症等，又被媒體翻了一遍「舊賬」。

劉維忠微博回應：打通任督二脈只是讓氣血更加通暢。

不過，劉維忠推崇的真氣運行法（下簡稱真法），並不認為自己只是讓氣血通暢。綜合媒體此前報道，真法曾稱能治乙肝、癌症、塵肺病等80多種重、慢疾病，很多病症能治癒。

今年2月，甘肅省衛生廳曾發文，號召全省醫務人員學習真法。據媒體報道，劉維忠廳長要讓全省人人練習此法，以達養生保健，無葯治病之效。

真法，是劉維忠發展甘肅中醫藥的眾多創舉之一。2008年劉維忠從甘肅省人口與計劃生育委員會主任一職調任省衛生廳長。4年來，甘肅省衛生系統進行了一場轟轟烈烈、頗富爭議的中醫運動。
