Scientists have attempts to make the possibility of sending humans to Mars become true in the future. The passage mainly talks about several problems of the Moon missions. However, the lecturer refutes this idea by saying that these possible explanations are all challenging.

First of all, the author puts forward the point that the round-trip to Mars and back will possibly take more than two years. Conversely, the lecturer casts doubt about this idea and contends that people can utilize hydroponics instead to solve the time problem. Hydroponics is a technique for growing plants with their roots located in water rather than in soil. It enables astronauts to cultivate crops in the space. Also, it recycles water and then releases it in order to provide drinking water for astronauts. This technique produces carbon dioxide and releases oxygen so that people can breath fresh air in the space.

Second, another crucial point in the reading is that astronauts during this Moon mission will have to face zero-gravity problem for a couple of months. On the contrary, the professor challenges this point by saying that astronauts have already possessed the skills of managing the zero-gravity obstacle in the space station after a few months. For example, doing regular exercises is able to help astronauts prevent from decreasing in muscle mass. In addition, having Vitamins and calcium can slow down the process of astronauts』 bone density decreasing.

Last but not least, the author claims that astronauts during this mission will be exposed to high levels of space radiation. Whereas the professor insists an opposite viewpoint that the dangerous levels of radiation is not happened all the time. The true fact is that the high levels will only occur when the sun is active. Also, the space station has created special technique which is a small shelter which monitors the radiation level. Luckily, this shelter does not add weight to the space. Due to this invention, astronauts can do normal work in unshielded area most of the time but enter the small shielded area and wait there until the danger has passed away.

這篇綜合寫作發揮整體不錯，美中不足之處在於聽力部分做了太多同義改寫，可能會導致不必要的丟分。
