想到介詞before，下面兩幅圖哪個和你心中before的含義更相近？

讓我們整體看一下~

一、

表示時間「早於」earlier than

1. before lunch 午餐前
2. the day before yesterday (昨天的前一天) 前天

這是before的第一個含義，時間上的早於。

二、

表示方位/位置「在前面」 a position in front of

1. she sits before the man.
2. before you is a list of the points.

以上兩條對應我上面放的兩張圖片，是before的常用表達，不贅述。

三、

表示某事臨近，面臨 sth. is facing sb. in the future

The whole summer lay before me. 整個夏天正等待著我。

某事正在慢慢靠近，出現在某人面前。

四、

表示當、、的面 in the presence of sb. who is listening or watching,

She said it before witness. 她當著證人的面說出了此事。

在某人的面前說，也用before。
