Preface

I am a middle school student from Shanghai, China. I had an ordinary and joyful childhood. As any Chinese student I had followed the proper order and advanced step by step through studying from a primary school to a middle school until our family went to Canada for a summer holiday, otherwise, I would probably become a senior 3 student who has to often stay up to do endless homework assigned by the school and various cram ones as my domestic peers are doing for the purpose of entering a university which my parents expected. Luckily, the situation has changed since we went to Canada that summer, where even under the same sky and the same bright moon I obtained a different feeling, which enabled me to witness a different world and help me realize what I really want.

My parents and I went to Canada about two years ago, since my parents don』t understand English,so it was me who took them anywhere . Before this trip to Canada, I was a shy boy and felt nervous of communicating with people from other countries although I have stared learning English since I went to school. Because we had to go out for a meal or visit some places there , I suddenly felt to have the responsibility and obligation to serve as an assistant linking my parents to the new world. I didn』t have any choice but tried to talk with local people and tried to make new friends with my heart. This two-month pleasant and unforgettable holiday triggered me to make a bold decision that I now consider to be my best wealth-----------independent from my parents and to explore the new world. As soon as we returned home in China, I stared to practice English extremely hard for realizing my dream. As a result, my parents and friends noticed a change happened to me----------from a student who used to resistant to learning from the heart to one who is willing to take initiative in exposing himself to contemporary knowledge.

Today, I would like to take this opportunity to write down my half a year of experience in preparing and choosing an overseas school, which, I hope, can be helpful to you.

——Cheng Dong Yan

Chapter 1    :  My Profile

My name is Cheng Dong Yan(George Yan), male, from Shanghai, China. I was born on 17 Nov.1995. I have been studying at Rockridge Secondary School in West Vancouver School District, Canada for almost a year. Before I went to Canada, I was a student at Da Jing High School in Shanghai, China. Since I have learned a lot here, I would like to share with you some of my reflections, which, I hope, may help those who are considering or planning to come to Canada.

1.1    I am a student who is cheerful, friendly, healthy and energetic.

I have been studying very hard and have achieved the excellence in my academic studies, so my parents have place higher expectation on me. My favorite subjects include math, physics, sports, music and fine arts.

Meanwhile, I have been learning drawing since I was a primary student. I start to practice sketch in an art school of HuangPu District, Shanghai in 2002. I won the first prize at Shanghai International Teenager Drawing Competitions in 2003, 2005, and 2006 respectively, and obtained the six-grade sketch painting certification. With a unique appreciation for lines and colors, I have gained the joy other hardly image. Moreover, I had been responsible for writing the wallboards of schools where I used to study before I went to Canada, at that time when we wrote a wallboard, we did everything from materials selection, typesetting to the final arrangement.

Additionally, I am interested in sports. I began jogging when I was a younger boy, no matter what the weather was like; I would run as long as 3000 meters on the playground after school. I like basketball best and I am very skillful at series of basketball playing techniques. Most of all, I have a high command of shooting. I began to practice shooting in 2007 and became a member of the school shooting team since 2008. I won the first prize at shanghai middle school shooting competition in December, 2008. Furthermore, I was one of key members of the school shooting team that won the championship at Shanghai Youth Shooting Competition in May, 2012. I was awarded the title of the national athletes of grade two in June 2009.

These rich and colorful extracurricular activities help me develop an up-and-coming spirit of hard works, cooperate with other people, facilitate my personality in a positive direction, promote my communication skills, which, I think, is a valuable spiritual treasure for me. During this process, my parents have spared on efforts to encourage and support me, which I am very grateful for.

1.2  studying abroad means to meet new challenges and accept new ideas

Thanks to the advanced and diversified media, I had heard about the different cultures and education systems, particularly the rich and colorful campus life in foreign counties before I went to Canada, which enables me to know the more open and comprehensive educational modes that are pretty different from that adopted in China. Going abroad is a completely new journey instead of sight-seeing tour. Studying abroad can not only let me experience the totally different cultures and scenes, expose myself to the more advanced academic theoretical knowledge, develop independence from my parents, but can also help me identify my strengths and weakness so as to fully exploit my potentials. My parents completely support me to study abroad.

Chapter 2:   Why I will study abroad? Why I choose a secondary school in Canada

The prominent seven aspects that impress me most in Canada:

low in crime rate and widely recognized as one of the safest countries in the world.

leading the world in science& technology and education, one of seven strongest industrial countries, most schools in Canada are public ones, education is not considered to be an industry.

borders on the America, mutual recognized academic diplomas and degrees between Canada and the United States, graduates enjoy bright prospects of academic studies or career development in the US.

lower tuition and living cost, which are one third as much as that of US and UK, graduates can have 3-year work visa, enjoy more alternatives in both academic studies and career development, and higher started salaries.

diversified education and living environment, rapid and lower-risk to become local citizens ,and sound bilingual environment of English and French.

Perfect educational system, comfortable natural scenes, rated for seven consecutive times as one of the world』 best place to live.

one of the richest nations in the world and has most comprehensive social security system.

2.1  National Conditions

Canada is a country in North America with a population of about 30 million. Its territory, which covers 9, 98 million square kilometers, extends from the Atlantic in its east to the Pacific Ocean in its west. It is the world』s second largest county by total area. Since there are less than three people in per square kilometers, Canada is the country with lowest population density in the world.

As one of the seven richest western countries in the world and a key member state of 「North American Free Trade Area」, Canada is also one of the top 10 China』s trading partners. Since Canada has a comfortable and beautiful natural environment and rich natural resources, possesses sound social stability and comprehensive social security system, and adopts the policy of developing multi-culture, it is rated in couple of yeas in row by the United Nations as the world』s best place to live.

Canada is a multi-national country. Immigrants and their offspring account for 97% of its population with English Canadians and French Canadians being the largest ethnic groups, of which, English Canadians amount to 40% of Canadian population, followed by Canadian French (27%). Because as many as over 1 million overseas Chinese, of whom, 90% in three major cities of Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto, are living in Canada, the Chinese has become the third popular language since 1992.

Politic system: democratic and federal political system with sound social stability.

Economy:  Canada has rich natural resources and implements market-oriented economic policies and is one of the seven strongest industrial countries in the world. It is the largest trading partner of the United States. Both tariffs and visas are escapable between Canada and the US. Its main industrial sectors include auto, electric power, telecommunications, high science and technology, petroleum, paper-making and etc. it leads in agriculture, forestry and fishery in the world.

Racial equalities: Canada is a multi-national country; the governments at all levels encourage the development of diversified culture. The problem of racial discrimination is not as serious as that in other western countries

Overseas Chinese: Canada has some big-sized China towns in both Montreal and Toronto. Since Canada is safer and has better living conditions compared with the United States, it has become the primary destination for immigrants coming from the mainland of China and Hong Kong in recent years. Canada implements a 12-year compulsory educational policy in its most provinces, the students can directly study in universities upon graduation from secondary schools.

At present, Canada has more than 70 universities whose diplomas are widely accepted by other countries. Each university has two semesters in every academic year: autumn semester from September to December and spring semester from January and April. Some courses are also available for students in summer.

In Canada, students usually need four academic years to finish undergraduate courses, two or three years to finish graduate courses and over two years to complete doctoral courses. Students』 academic performances are all evaluated through the credit system. Students can graduate ahead of the schedule if they select more courses each time. In addition to the universities, Canada also has more than 250 institutes and colleges in communities of all provinces. These community institutes or colleges focus on students』 pre-job training. After 1-3 years training, students can have college degrees.

2.2  Climate

The weather pattern across Canada varies from region to region. The temperature in eastern part is relatively lower but moderate in southern part. The climate in the west part is warm and humid. Its northern part features tundra weather with vast area of frigid zones where the lowest temperature is minus 60. The highest temperature in middle-western part is 40.

2.3    Customs and Festivals

The staple food of Canadian people include meats and vegetables, occasionally, they also take rice and cooked wheaten food. Besides beefs and chickens, Canadians like sardines and other venison best. Canadian people are unadorned, easy-going and hospitable.

Canada has many festivals, including the New Year』s Day on January first, on its eve many celebration activities are held; Carnival, a 10-day-long grand festival with French characteristics usually held in Quebec Province in February; Maple Sugar Festival, a special festival in Canada held from March to April, during which people sing, dance and enjoy maple cakes and toffees.

2.4    Education

Canadian governments attach great importance to education. Education in Canada is funded by federal government at all levels and administrated or managed by provincial and local governments, so there is not such an institution as the ministry of education that administrates educational activities across the country in the federal government. Canada has 10 provinces and 3 provincial jurisdictions, each of which has its own educational system.

Canadian children aged 4 or5 usually voluntarily attend classes in kindergartens for one or two years, and then begin to study in primary schools when they reach six. The semester of a primary school begins in September and ends in June of next year. Students can go to study in universities after completing all courses of high schools that often have three academic years-----grade 11, grade 12 or grade 13. Curriculums in primary schools across the countries are same but are different in each secondary school and university. The advisers in each school would help students plan their future, meanwhile, it also organize variety of social activities for students so as to develop their overall capabilities. Canada』s higher education is composed of community institutes, universities and graduate schools. International students and new immigrants have to have a language course first. University studies usually last for 3-5 years.

2.5  My Reflections

I will probably have more alternatives to enter a university if I can graduate from a Canadian secondary school.

To begin with, Canada』s education system integrates itself with that of the America and Britain, but is more inclined to American one. Given its excellent educational quality, its diplomas are recognized not only in other countries of North America, but also in the rest of the world. Unlike the examination-oriented education in China, education in Canada pay more attention to cultivating students』 practical, cooperative and coordinative abilities as well as developing their comprehensive capabilities, which is highly conducive to their career development in future.

-

Secondly, studying in Canada provides overseas students like me with the pure English environment, where the students can improve their English as soon as possible through both in-class and outside-class activities. Moreover, various social and team activities enable the students to experience social life earlier so that they can enhance other indispensable abilities.

Lastly, Canada is considered one of the safest countries in the world. The safety in Canada is largely due to its genuine democracy, sophisticated social security, as a result, human rights are fully guaranteed and the problem of racial discrimination is minimized.

Studying in a Canadian secondary school help me adapt to the totally different educational system, habits and customs in a foreign country and overcome the language barrier in particular. Since I am still younger, studying abroad can not only break the language barrier quickly, but also enable me to acquire a high command of English within a short time. What is more important is that I can freely choose any Canadian university just like the local students with my Canadian secondary school transcripts upon the graduation rather than have to study in dual enrollment universities as some Chinese high-school graduates without the language transcripts do. Furthermore, the number of dual enrollment universities is less than half of the normal ones. Chinese students who are in the third year of middle school, grade one or grade two of senior high school are ideal candidates to go to Canadian secondary schools. Canadian high school diplomas would serve as a stepping- stone for students to go to the most prestigious universities in both America and Canada.

Chapter 3        Preparations

3.1  Frequently Asked Questions

Before I went to Canada, my parents and I considered some possible problems a Chinese student is likely to face when studying there, which, I believe, are also concerns of other parents who plan to send their children to study in Canada. Here I』d like to sum them up and share with you.

1. How do overseas students enroll in universities in Canada

Firstly, overseas students can go to Canadian secondary schools and get a high school diploma, which enable them to have more alternatives to apply to universities.

Secondly, Chinese high school graduates can go to Canadian universities through direct enrollment or dual enrollment, or attend the preparatory courses for Canadian universities.

2. Which city should students choose? A big city or a small city?

At present, most Chinese students choose their schools in Canada』s three big cities-----Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, because a number of prestigious universities including Toronto University, McGill University, the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University are located there.

3. Are high schools in Canada classified into public and private schools?

Yes. As in China, Canada has public and private schools.

Both public and private schools are governed by the Ministry of Education in Canada. Since the compulsory courses designed and graduation standards adopted in both public and private schools are entirely same, the public and private schools are not different in essence. But the private schools usually have a more restrict management, provide more assistant courses and extracurricular activities, so their tuitions are a little bit higher than that of the public schools

Canadian public secondary schools are run and administrated by the education department of each province, and each city or region in Canada has a School Board or School District to manage public secondary schools in its jurisdiction, the number of public secondary schools governed by each school board or under each jurisdiction is varied from several to several hundreds

4. What are the strengths and weaknesses of public and private high schools in Canada

The strengths of the public senior-schools:

1.         Canadian students studying in secondary schools don』t need to pay tuition fees, so about 90% of students in the public secondary schools are native speaker of Canadian English, where what overseas students from no English-speaking countries are imperceptibly influenced by what they see and hear is English, as a result, these students would find out their English improve quickly.

2.       Curriculum designed in the public secondary schools is rich and varied with much extracurricular activities.

3.       Since the educational infrastructural facilities in Canada are funded by the governments, faculty and students there enjoy everything needed, such as libraries, lounges, laboratories, auditorium and others.

The weakness of the public secondary schools:

Some regulations or rules adopted by the public secondary schools are not so flexible, for instance, schools that begin their classes in September would stop enrolling new students six months ago. Since the number of students enrolled by the public schools is limited, sometimes, some Chinese students cannot choose their ideal schools. In addition, the public secondary schools don』t offer accommodation; foreign students have to find host families by themselves.

The strengths of the private secondary schools:

1.       Most students in the private secondary schools come from no-English speaking countries. Since their main objectives are to go to Canada』s prestigious universities upon their graduation and these schools often have a higher proportion of students entering a higher grades. Furthermore, the lessons are carried out in relative small-sized classrooms; so the teachers have more time to approach each student, thus ensuring the quality of education.

2. The private secondary schools have a relative flexible timetable to begin their classes. If students miss one semester, they can go to classes of next semester that begins several months later. The private high schools usually have four to five batches of recruits every year, which provides more opportunities for students to enroll in.

The weakness of the private secondary schools:

One of the disadvantages of the private secondary schools is undesirable language environment. Since most students there come from no-English speaking countries, they tend to get closer with their compatriots and communicate in their first language, thus probably making less progress in English.

5.  How to choose a suitable Canadian secondary school?

Canada does not rank its secondary schools, what it matters is if the school you choose is suitable to you. It would be better choice to study in the private secondary schools if you want to have more opportunities to go to Canada』s key universities in future.

If you want to integrate yourself with local people』s daily life in Canada as soon as possible, have a richer and more colorful experience in both academic study and others in a school, you』d better choose a public one in Canada.

If you are concerned over the security during your pursuing studies in schools, and hope some professionals to take care your board and lodging so that you can focus on you academic studies, you should take Canada』s private boarding schools for choice.

By contrast, if you want to improve your abilities to live by yourself independently, you』d better choose the public secondary schools and live in a local host family not far away.

6.  What curriculums are usually set in a Canadian secondary school? How many academic years a student will study for his graduation? How can a student qualify for his end?

Canada』s educational system is similar to the Chinese one, Canadian secondary education usually have three academic years-----grade 10, grade 11 and grade 12. But in some provinces there are four years. A student can graduate if he can successfully achieve 30 credits, of which, 18 compulsory courses include English, French as the second language, mathematics, science (physics, chemistry, biology, computer technology and others), Canadian history, Canadian geography, etc.

Twelve elective courses are designed for students to continue studying in universities or institutes for the purpose of their career development in future. Students can choose such courses as drama, music, visual art and etc based on their own interests.

7. Does Canada have national-wide university entrance examination or graduation general examination?

Canada does not have national –wide university entrance examination. Canadian students don』t need to take part in special entrance examination if they want to go to universities, because each university has its own selective system. The Chinese students usually have a better basis than their Canadian peers in science, once they can acquire a good command of English, they will find out that other courses are relatively easier.

8. How a Chinese senior -high student choose his corresponding grade in a Canadian secondary school?

Generally speaking, Chinese students who is going to graduate from junior middle schools can directly go to classes of Grade 10 in Canada, those who finish the courses of the first academic year in a Chinese secondary school can directly attend the classes of Grade 11 in Canada, those completing the courses of the second year can attend the classes of Grade 12. But the Chinese secondary graduates still have to go to the classes of Grade 12 in Canada.

9. Does Canada rank its secondary schools?

The ordination of high schools in Canada is determined by the Report Card Grading System issued by Fraser Institute, the practice adopted in the Province of BC and Ontario Provinces is an example. Each school in Canada has its own unique features; the critical is to have a one that is suitable to you.

10. how foreign students arrange their board and lodgings when studying in Canadian secondary schools

 In public secondary schools

Majority of Canadian public secondary schools don』t arrange lodgings for their students, so all international students have to live in local host families. In order to have a better language environment, international students should choose to live in a host family nearby whose members are typical natives.

In private secondary schools

Most high-quality private secondary schools are boarding ones, so all students have to live there and feel relatively safer. In addition, the board and lodging of the students are managed in a unified way by the schools; they needn』t worry about inconvenience arising from their daily life.

11. Host families in Canada

Most host families provide a private room with necessary furniture, three meals a day and basic necessities of life for international students, so they can save lots of time and money and just focus on their studies. Meanwhile, the families always encourage the students to take part in their family activities, through which international students can improve their English or French, better understand local peoples』 living habits and customs and make more new friends.

12. Do foreign students need to submit their school reports about language proficiency test when applying for studying in Canadian secondary schools?

The score reports here refer to the reports of the international English standard tests, currently, the prevailing ones include IELTS, TOEFL and etc. before go to Canada, international students』 d better acquire proficiency in English language, which will help adapt themselves to the completely new living and studying environment soon.

3.2 My Preparation for Studying Abroad

1. Taking part in spoken English training schools.

In addition to providing special programs for students who are going to attend some tests for studying abroad, some domestic training schools also have oral-English classes. I received language training in one of these schools near my home whose teaching program is closely associated with the daily life. When choose an oral English course, you mustn』t limit your training to the practice just for the oral part of IELTS, the training should also includes such materials as topics and scenes that people often experience in their daily life. By practicing the everyday expressions and vocabulary of English and dialogue skills, I have been getting familiar with the common sentences used in daily life. Furthermore, some teachers there also trained us by integrating what we learn in classes with actual situation in daily life, enabling me to be no longer nervous when encountering the similar situations in daily life.

My English teacher came from the United States; his introduction of overseas people』s life has aroused my strong desire to live abroad. He, according to American people』s habits and customs, tried to simulate a scene with distinctive features of exotic life, which, as a result, enabled me to improve my listening and spoken abilities of English substantially.

2. Talking with international people

It is risky for a student like me, who has never been to other countries before and didn』t have any experience of coming into contact with overseas people in his motherland, to go abroad. In order to ease this concern, I tried to capitalize on every possible opportunity to practice English before I went to Canada. There are many ways to practice English. It is said that the best way to practice English is joining the activities held in English corner (a place where people who are interested in English but don』t have chances to practice get together and talk with each other in English). I visited the English corner in People』s Square of Shanghai at almost every weekend. In such places as shopping malls, restaurants where foreign friends often visit or even in the undergrounds or public buses, I often took initiative in greeting or chatting with these friends, which, I think, is also a good way to make friends.

3. Watching movies, TV series in English.

Watching English-speaking movies or TV series, I think, is more interesting than some boring English-teaching methods. The language used in these movies or TV series is much closer to that of daily life and original. We can find out that the protagonists often speak at will, their words are seldom complete, instead, they often simply use several words, even a word sometimes to express themselves.

4. Reading literature works, especially the novels in English as much as possible.

I have chosen several adapted editions of literary masterpieces in English for reading. The words of these books are relatively simple and are easier to understand and the stories are vivid and interesting. it is said that reading this kind of master pieces can not only improve readers』 English, but can also deepen their understanding about human life.

5. Studying consistently

Successful people usually attribute their great achievements to their assiduous and persevering

studies, so do those who acquire higher command of English. In order to improve your English substantially, you『d better try to think as those from English-speaking countries do, if possible, catch every opportunity to talk with your friend in English. It is worth mentioning that paying more attention to the dialogues or conversations in English programs on either radios or movies is also an effective way.

Chapter 4 my present situation

1. The impression of studying abroad

If go to your school earlier in the morning, you would see a group of girl students making up before the mirrors in the bathrooms. We don』t have school uniforms, but have special sport suits. In some Canadian high schools, students can dress themselves they like, for example, girl students are allowed to have tasteful hairstyles and wear high-heeled shoes. The makeup on the eyes of Indian girl students looks pretty. They usually spend lots of time making up their eyes, if their skins look white and delicate; they prefer light or transparent makeups.

Our classes usually begin at 9: 20 in the morning and are over at 3:35 in the afternoon, we have one hour lunch break. When we have our lunch, we would occupy the refectory table beside a microwave oven in the deepest part of the dining –room, students sitting in a row are all my friends, it looks very cool, isn』t it? We take meals for lunch from home. The meal for lunch is varied and sumptuous, including bread, egg fried rice and variety of lunch boxes. By the way, Vietnamese bread is incredibly delicious, even the crust is full of sweet smell; the auntie of my host family often gets up earlier to prepare the meal for my lunch as my parents did before. Since she is a good cook, I always enjoy gourmet』s luck.

In Canada, students choose their courses of next academic year in the beginning of each semester; they can choose four curriculums in each semester. Everyday』s class schedule is same and each class lasts for 75 minutes. Students can change their courses at will in the beginning of each semester, but they should submit their application forms for the popular courses as early as possible, otherwise, the seats in the classroom for these courses will not be available. Generally speaking, each class has 15-20 students, and all teachers there are kind and patient, especially with international students

Canadians arrange their life and works pretty well。Students are extremely busy with their academic study during weekdays, but at weekends or in holidays, they haven』t or have little homework. The pattern of homework here is different from that in China; it features 「assignment and presentation」.

Canadian schools pay more attention to cultivating students』 social and practice abilities. Before gradation, students are asked to do a certain time of voluntary work according to their grades. I worked as a volunteer in a pet shop to take care really cute kitty. Some of my classmates either helped arrange chairs for an odeum and then enjoyed a concert free of charge, or did something

for temples or churches, but the place they went to most frequently was theaters where they didn』t know what to do, but just watch a movie, which could help them gain two hours of voluntary works. Sometimes they did part-time work in the PARTY. In short, the voluntary works we do are not serious ones, but from which we can not only practice our English, but can also improve our social abilities.

The buses here run based on the timetable; the arrival time of each bus at each station is regular and basically accurate, so passengers can avoid waiting for buses outside rooms in winter. The bus drivers are extremely friendly and kind, when passengers get off, they would say: 「has a nice day」; if it is at weekend, they would say: 「enjoy your weekend」. Once I forgot to bring my monthly ticket, the driver of the bus that I was going to take still allowed me to get on and said: 「it doesn』t matter.」 This reflects the real care of citizens living in a harmonious and civilized city.

There is a test of English as Second Language in Canada for just arrived international students; this test has five grades-----A, B, C, D, E. I passed the level E, so I can finish all courses in a secondary school within 18 months and gradate at same time as my domestic peers do.

Girl students and boy students are separated in our physical education. In the physical education, we practice the muscles of all parts of our bodies with different body-building equipment. On Friday, we usually practice yoga. Of course, we also take part in other sports activities at ordinary time. Last week, our teacher gave us tickets to watch an ice hokey competition between the students and teachers. When the physical education is over, my body often become hotter with sweet and I feel released and have better mood, so I like the physical education here best. Moreover, the teachers here are helpful and considerate to international students and the amount of physical exercises is planned by students themselves in our school.

We have a quiz a week and a test every two weeks, the advantages of this practice is that students can avoid heavy pressure caused by university entrance examination. Canadian students can apply for studying in several universities at same time and submit their materials as soon as the first semester of the grade 12 is over. Their scores are determined by both average scores of top 6 University Type and the performance of extracurricular activities.

Many people mistakenly believe that Chinese students no longer need to study as hard as they did once they go abroad. It really depends on what kind of person you are. Studying abroad is still a hard experience; the difference is that the hardship is not as same as what the domestic peers suffer from. If you do want to make understanding achievements in your academic study, not to waste the valuable youth and the expensive tuitions, not to let your parents down, you really have to busy yourself in studying. The first thing I learned here is independent. Before I went to Canada, I was already able to take care of myself, for instance, I would prepare meals for lunch and supper and washed my own clothes and shoes during summer vacation. But the situation is totally different in Canada; here I have to gather data or other information in libraries by myself to prepare tests or reports. In order to finish our homework, we often have to stay up. In short, you have to rely on yourself for everything and anyone who can give you a hand is yourself. What is most important, I think, is to acquire proficiency in English and integrate yourself with the local society, with this end in view; I am doing the best I can.

Since I went abroad, I have become more mature than before, and have realized the true internationalized vision and the mode of thinking of local people, which is quite different from that of the Chinese people. Once I told my parents in a stedfast manner through a video display that I would certainly send my children to the developed countries in future. After hearing what I said, my parents heaved a sigh as if relieved of a heavy burden and said: 「we were not certain if it is a right decision to send you to study abroad, but now we can rest assured after finding out that you have progressed in all ways, we feel proud of you.」

I think once you get down and think of the encouragement and expectations of your parents and your friends, think of the warm harbor built by them, you will be full of vigor and vitality to push you forward , no matter what difficulties or setbacks you will encounter.

公交車司機也非常友善,乘客下車時他們常常會對他們說:「have a nice day」;周末會他們會說:「enjoy  your  weekend。」
