女王去世，查爾斯登基，凱特奪權……BBC新劇開了個年度最大的腦洞

而講述現任英女王伊麗莎白二世的傳記劇《王冠》(The Crown) 更是大受好評，今年還獲得了金球獎~

目前，這兩部劇的第一季都已更新完畢，可放心入坑~

感受到了觀眾們對於此類劇集的熱情，於是BBC最近又緊跟潮流，推出了一部宮廷風的電視電影——《查爾斯三世》（King Charles III）！

圍觀群眾：咦？話說這人是誰？？？

沒聽說過就對了，因為這位君主，現在還沒登基呢……

沒錯，BBC的這部新片改編自一部獲得勞倫斯·奧利弗獎（英國戲劇及音樂劇獎最高獎）的同名舞台劇，講述的就是英國查爾斯王儲的故事，而且腦補的是他超長待機的母上大人去世後，王儲最終得以成為一國之君……

怎麼樣？驚不驚喜？意不意外？

雖然說，這部劇的腦洞比碗口還大，但秉承著BBC一貫的嚴謹作風，該劇畫風還是力求寫實，就連長大版的喬治小王子和夏洛特小公主竟然在片中都有出現↓↓↓

而關於「查爾斯三世」、「威廉王儲」等片中一眾主角的腦洞，更是（不怕死？）地越開越大……

先來認識一下劇中的王室成員↓↓↓

（咦？怎麼感覺劇版的查爾斯爺倆頭髮比真人多是怎麼回事？BBC好貼心呢……）

故事要從2020年開始說起，那時，菲利普親王和英女王將雙雙撒手人寰，先後離世（←這敘述style簡直詭異……）。

一開場就是這種陰鬱的畫風：民眾在街頭送別女王的靈柩↓↓↓ 

在母親的葬禮上，即將成為查爾斯三世的查爾斯王儲望著靈柩，沒有留下一滴眼淚。

古稀之年的老王儲走到教堂一角，深吸一口氣，緩緩地說了一句「最終（要登基了！）」(At last)。

"At last, I needed room for thought to breathe. My life has been lingering for a throne. Sometimes I must confess I imagine my mother happened to die before her time - a helicopter crash, a rare disease. So at early age, I"d be in charge. Before me, years of constant, stable rule... but I am better thoughtful Prince than King. Potential holds appeal, since in its castle walls one is protected from the awful shame of failure."

「最終，我需要一點讓思緒呼吸的空間。我的一生都在為王位徘徊。坦白說，有時我曾想過母親意外早逝 - 比如直升機墜毀、罕見絕症等等。這樣我在年輕的時候就能掌權了。在我執政之前，常年都是穩定的統治……但我更適合當個周到的王儲，而非國王。既然在城堡高牆的保護下能免受失敗的恥辱，那麼可能性就帶著吸引力。」

當然，在BBC的腦洞下，查爾斯是不可能這麼順利地就登基的（心疼查爾斯一秒鐘）……

To imagine the death of the monarch in Tudor times was high treason. These days, it is merely appalling bad taste.

Charles III (BBC2) began with the funeral of the Queen – supposedly dead, in the very near future, just weeks after the Duke of Edinburgh.

The new king (Tim Pigott-Smith) turned to the cameras and murmured his first line:『At last!』

這樣的劇情設定可謂是腦洞大開，令人目瞪口呆。在英文中，我們可以用mind-boggling 一詞來形容這部劇，意為「令人難以置信的」、「令人驚異的」。如：Astronomy, the study of stars, has many mind-boggling theories. （天文學裡有許多令人難以置信的理論。）

為了令查爾斯的登基之路走得難上加難，感覺BBC也是窮盡了腦洞給他添堵。

因為，從BBC給出的官方人物設定中可以看出，對於王位，每個角色心裡都有著自己的小心思。

查爾斯：我的一生都在為王位徘徊

Charles: My life has been a lingering for the throne

Charles has waited his whole life to wear the crown, groomed for power but accepting his role as Prince during his mother』s long and stable reign.

查爾斯終其一生都在等待著戴上王冠、登頂權力之巔的一刻，但在母親漫長而又穩固的統治歲月中，他只能接受自己王儲的身份。

The Queen』s death comes as a huge personal blow – Charles has lost his mother. But it also offers the long-awaited chance to rule at last.

女王之死對他而言是個巨大的衝擊——查爾斯失去了自己的母親。但最終也給了他期待已久的統治機會。

Charles』 deeply principled nature, combined with his strong opinions, soon lead the new King to test whether, in the twenty-first century, the British crown still has any real power.

But as Charles grapples with his identity and purpose the stakes could not be higher. His actions quickly threaten his family』s unity, the stability of the country, and the very future of the monarchy itself.

William: I will never step across my father』s right

William has always been raised in the knowledge he will one day ascend to the throne.

威廉從小就被灌輸這種思想：終有一日，他將登上王位。

This has formed in him a deep consciousness of the importance of following tradition and precedent.

這令他形成了一種要遵循傳統和先例的根深蒂固的觀念。

On the other hand, he knows the value of good PR and has enjoyed popular acclaim - fuelled by his marriage to Kate - revitalising the royal brand for a new generation.

而另一方面，他明白良好的公共關係的價值，並享受著公眾的讚美——這源於他與凱特的婚姻——振興新一代皇室形象。

He has deep respect and affection for his father, Charles, although the loss of his mother, Diana, casts a long, unspoken shadow across all their lives.

Married to William, Kate will be a Queen when he ascends the throne.

Kate is nevertheless proud that her parents worked to reach their positions in life, without hereditary advantage. And William』s marriage to a 『commoner』 was certainly popular with press and people alike.

凱特的父母不靠世襲，是而通過自己的努力贏得了如今的社會地位，凱特顯然以此為傲。而威廉迎娶「平民」無疑受到媒體和民眾的歡迎。

Kate』s astute sense of style and her common touch have brought a welcome sheen of modernity to an ancient institution. But her position has also demanded she open herself to constant and invasive public scrutiny.

Harry has always known he was 『the spare』 rather than 『the heir』, and has struggled to find a fulfilling role for himself.

His brother William is destined to be King, but what should Harry dedicate his life to?

總之，女王駕崩後，當了大半輩子王儲的查爾斯想要一展身手，刷起自己作為國王的存在感，然而卻和首相政見不合。而大兒子兒媳威廉夫婦又對王位有著不可言明的野心，小兒子哈里這時還愛上了一個平民女子想放棄王子身份……

那麼，查爾斯三世究竟最終能否hold住這一切，順利登基呢？

燃鵝，對於BBC這一畫風清奇的神腦洞，不少網友卻表示並不買賬……

「#查爾斯三世完全是個迂腐的垃圾作品，毫無演技而言，且還是BBC那一套的不懷好意的風格！不看了！」

「不好意思，你失去了我這名觀眾– 僵硬的演技、無聊的故事情節-我真的很想喜歡這部影片，然而……#查爾斯三世」

還有這種滿屏刷起了差評的畫風：「大不敬」(disrespectful)、「沒品位」(distasteful)……

然而，和一眾網友對BBC這一腦洞接受無能瘋狂吐槽的畫風相比，不少一向挑剔的外媒卻給這部電影打出了高分。
