修行人，三歸五戒的目標是成就四不壞凈

在世尊的正覺里，

三歸五戒的正見苦諦

確實是修學佛法的前提，

這無庸置疑！

但是世面上流行的三歸五戒卻，

大多僅停留於形式上。

而且，

在世面的佛法中

也少有法師涉及並開演

三歸五戒能成就四不壞凈

而出輪迴的修學要義，

更是少有佛弟子

圍繞破身見入聖流

作為三歸五戒的修學目標。

或許是有情的心理

需要這樣儀式的安慰，

或許無明眾生也確實

需要一份這樣的心靈寄託。

然而，

在四雙八輩聖弟子的概念中，

若對佛法僧戒四不壞凈

僅停留在一般的認識上，

即是對佛法無知的人、不懂佛法的人。

若是說得更為嚴重，

這樣的人就是附佛外道。

Dear Practitioners, 「The purposes of practicing the Three Refuges and the Five Precepts is to achieve the Four Objects of Indestructible Faith. 」

There is no doubt that realisation of the noble truth of suffering in the Three Refuges and the Five Precepts is the basic concept in the practice of Buddhism in accordance to the doctrine of the awakening of Buddha. Currently, most practice of the Three Refuges and the Five Precepts undertaken by practitioners,however, lies on the formality only.

Moreover, there are rarely any masters who practice and propagate the doctrine relating to cultivation of the Three Refuges and the Five Precepts for achieving the Four Objects of Indestructible Faith to quit transmigration. There are also rarely any practitioners who have focused on abolition of incorrect view to join the holy stream as the purposes of practicing the Three Refuges and the Five Precepts.

Maybe, sentient beings need this type of formality as mental comfort; or maybe, ignorant living things do need this as a kind of spiritual sustenance.

However, in the concept of being a member of the Four Pairs and Eight Categories, if practitioners just possess superficial knowledge on the Four Objects of Indestructible Faith: the Buddha, the Dharma, the Monk and the Precepts, they are regarded as having no knowledge or even ignorance on the Buddhist Dharma. Strictly speaking, they are fake Buddhist or non-Buddhist.
