Part 1.

present continuous 現在進行時結構：

Subject 主語 ＋ be ＋ verb－ing 動詞 ing 形式

「I』m having a headache this weekend!」 Here in this sentence, Hot Rabbit uses the present continuous to imply that the situation is :

這裡壕特兔用現在進行時（the present continuous）來表達以下兩種情況：

1. temporary (表示這個動作是暫時性)

2. prearranged in the future ( 預先安排的未來的動作）

A prearranged action in the future

一個預先安排的未來的動作

When we are 100% certain that an action will happen in the future, we can use thepresent continuous.

當我們100%確定這件事／動作在未來會發生的時候，你可以用現在進行時。

We』re going back to New York tomorrow.

我們明天回紐約了。

I』m going to LA tomorrow.

我明天去洛杉磯。

Conversation 對話(??.???)?：

Q：Hot Rabbbit, what are you doing tomorrow?

壕特兔，你明天做什麼？（進行時表將來預先安排的動作）

A：I』m seeing a movie tomorrow with my boyfriend. 我明天和男朋友去看電影。

Q：What? You have a boyfriend? When? How did that happen? Who is this guy? 什麼？你有男朋友了？？！什麼時候？ 怎麼有的？這個傢伙是誰？

重點：

You can also use the present continuous when you talk about something that is going to happen in the distant future too.

We are going to Japan in October. 我們十月要去日本。

We are moving to America next year. 我們明年要搬到美國去住。

以前我們常會聽到這個說法，「只有在近期的未來可以用the present continuous表示將來。」這是不正確的！

?A person not acting as they usually do.

一個人在某種情況下的做的某個行為，不是他／她通常的行為。

Q：Why are you being so mean (to me)? 你為什麼這麼刻薄（對我）？ (This is a good way tostart a conversation that might have turned into a fight)

Q：Why are you being so difficult? 你為什麼這麼固執？ (it means: Why are you being soimpossible to get along with?)

A：Am I? Sorry, I didn』t notice that.

Part 2.

?5 ways to use the present continuous

現在進行的五種用法：

1. An action that is happening right now (the time of speaking)

現在(說話的時候)正在發生的動作；

2.An action that is happening that is happening at or around the time of speaking

現在（前後）一段時間發生的動作；

3.An action that is prearranged in the future

一個預先安排好的將來一定會發生的動作；

4.A temporary situation or event

一個暫時的情況和事件；

5. A repeated action or event

一個重複的動作或事件

再看一個例子：

「Today she is telling us that five is 3 + 2.」

這裡大蒜精說這句話的用現在進行時，表示老師說「5=3+2」的動作是暫時的。

Here in this sentence, Garlicboy uses the present continuous to imply that the action of his teacher is temporary.
