Cathedral (n.)

a church of a bishop;

chapel或者隸屬於church，或者是建在學校、監獄、機場、醫院等建築群里的小教堂，是只供特定團體使用的地方。

church是教堂，隸屬於一間Cathedral，由神父(priest)主持。

Cathedral是大教堂，負責管理教區(diocese)內的churches，由主教(bishop)主持。
