髒話是語言的副產品，也是表達說話者強烈情感的有力武器，同時也暴露了略顯拙劣的語言技巧和社會群體屬性。每個民族在他們歷史發展的道路上都少不了戰爭和屠殺，在時間長河裡積累的血淚和仇恨積聚成了詛咒，而後詛咒脫離了戰爭和屠殺而沉澱，最後演變成了髒話。
一十覺得，生活中，是個人就難免會有一些four-letter-word life moments。所謂的four-letter-word，就是英文里常見的髒話，比如s**t，f**k這些cuss words。老實說，比如像我從小到大就都有一些knee-jerk expletives脫口而出，這種肉體知覺條件反射情況下的吐臟很難改，they just fall out of my mouth in stubbed toes moment……dammit.

髒話其實是性格的一種表現，根源在於瞬間的思維方式，髒話很容易拉近臭味相投的人的距離。我們周遭都是魚龍混雜的人群，網路上充斥著形形色色的言論。正如在《華爾街之狼》這部180分鐘時長的電影里，f**k一詞就大概出現了506次……也算是影視界里的一個all-time record了。We are bombarded with foul language！！！在一群講高頻率髒話的朋友的環境里，真的不要停留太久，環境大概率會影響你說話，要減少與poor-bred人群的社交時間。除非當別人說髒話時，你也可以堅持不仿效，始終堅信不說赤裸裸的髒話也能好好說話。

英文里的 swearing 也是既offensive又illiterate, 既trashy又low-class。在學校、職場、公共場合等等很多社交情況下都是一個big no-no。 歐美國家的商業場合有一個小工具叫 swear box或swear jar，當你說了髒話，oops! 你會被罰往swear box里投小錢錢。嚴重點的話，直接被開。

So，never let profanity slip！我們需要學會用一些有創意的、委婉一些的alternatives去代替直白露骨的curse words。多和那些不說髒話的老外聊天，或者多看一些文明的英美劇和節目，多聽多學人家怎麼不帶髒字的表達，凈化自己的語言表達體系。接下來，請大家拿出小本本，keep a few cleaned-up terms in your back pocket for those potty-talk moments！ 和一十一起慢慢，curb cussing habit and shake up our conversations！小筆記認真抄起來。

? ?、使用委婉語（Euphemisms）
Euphemism即委婉詞，表達起來相對來說沒那麼offensive，很多swear words都有對應的委婉詞，但其實和swear words多多少少還是有些resemblance的，在一定程度上可以幫助我們clean up vocabulary。比如：
? S**t——"shoot" ，「shirt」，「ish」
? Bulls**t ——「bullshirt」
? D**n it——"Dang-it""Darn-it"
? P**sed ——"pish」
? D**k ——「dink」
? F**k —— 「fork」, 「funk」，「eff」
? Motherf**ker ——「motherforker」, 「mothertrucker」

? Son of a b***h——"son-of-a-biscuit"，「son of a gun」, 」son of a sea slug」

? ?、 新造一些 nonsense words/pseudo word
也算是一種neologism, 你可以用一些你新造的nonsense words 去代替swear words， 多為expletive詞性, 根據語境會被賦予一些含義，或者單純押韻，形成一種comic effect。我舉幾個例子，幫忙打開你們的腦洞。

? 還包括一些不知所云的符號文（Grawlix），比如「#$&*」、"@#$%&!"、 「*&#%!」等來代替常見的髒話嘆詞。Grawlix這個詞最早出現在美國著名漫畫家Mort Walker的1964年發表的 Lets get down to grawlixes 一文中，之後在他的另一本名為 The Lexicon of Comicana 的書中，創造了一系列應用於漫畫中的國際符號文，稱為 Symbolia。而Grawlix在wiki 中的解釋是：
1. A spiral-shaped graphic used to indicate swearing in comic strips.
2. A string of typographical symbols,especially "@#$%&!", used (especially in comic strips) to represent an obscenity or swear word.3. A series of violence related images in a speech bubble to represent obscenity, swear words, or profanity.
? 還包括一些殺馬特的字母數字元號結合的leet文，比如：
? S**t： 「5h17」
? B***h：「13itch」,「81tc#」
? H**l: 「H331」
? ?、使用過時的髒話
舊時代風靡一時的髒話，如今要麼逐漸被人們接受，要麼已被人們遺忘。有興趣可以去搜索一下這些比較vintage的mild oaths（輕微的詛咒），嘗試選擇這類比較mild的詞來代替當代的髒話。比如:
? 「Consarn it! （可代替「damnit!」）
? 「Zooterkins」 (17世紀的髒詞，意思是 「God』s wounds!」或「Zounds」!)
? 「Sard」 (可代替s**t)
? 「Waesucks」 (意為「woe』s sakes,」可代替 "s**t!")
? 「Gadzooks!」（天哪）
? 「Bollocks」(可代替testicles)
? 「Fopdoodle」 （可代替「dumba**」）
? 「Dadgummit」（可代替「damnit!」）
? 「Heavens to Betsy!」 （天哪）
? 「Yikes」（Yuck！哎呀！魂淡！）

? ?、借用小說、電視劇或節目、廣告里創造的髒詞（fictional swear words）
不僅僅是科幻小說和電影，電視劇和廣告也經常會自創一些語言和辭彙，包括swearwords，我們可以適當的拿來主義。比如：
? 「Ying-takh!」 or 「puh-takh,」 這是《星際迷航》 (Star Trek) 里的克林貢語（Klingon）, 可代替 「S」 or 「F」 words
? 「Great Caesar』s Ghost」，《生活大爆炸》第一季第二集633里出現過，動畫The Simpsons里也有出現過，可代替」Holy God!「
? Sweet Nibblits! —— 美劇《漢娜·蒙塔娜》（Hannah Montana）里的高頻詞
? Oh, balls. —— 美劇《邪惡力量》（Supernatural）里Bobby Singer的台詞
? We just saved the sodding world together ——美劇《邪惡力量》（Supernatural）里Crowley的台詞
? 「Frack」 or 「frak」 ，這是《美劇太空堡壘卡拉狄加》（Battlestar Galactica）里的, 可代替 「F」 word
? 「Mewling quim」,這是《復仇者聯盟》（The Avengers）里洛基最愛的台詞，可代替「碧池」，原句是「Stand back mewling quim「，寡婦姐為了套基妹的話，假裝抽泣時基妹罵她的話
? 「Goram」，來自美劇《螢火蟲》（Firefly）， 可代替「G** d**n!」
? Crikey! —— 來自鱷魚獵人史蒂芬歐文（Steve Irwin）的鱷魚拍檔系列片 （The Crocodile Hunter）

迪士尼系列兒童電影里也有很多fake curse words，比如《小叮噹》（Tinker Bell）：

比如古老的史酷比卡通（Scooby Dooby Doo）：

包括哈利波特里也不少：

? ?、用另一種外語髒話來代替
據掌握多門語言的人說，用母語罵髒話更爽、更順暢、更能宣洩情緒。所以可以反其道而行之，用對方不熟悉的外語來代替ta所熟悉的語言髒話。比如：
? 「Scheisse」—— 德語里的「s**t」
? 「Aborder」—— 法語里的「f**k」
? 「malakas」——希臘語里的「idiot」
? 「muie」 —— 羅馬尼亞語里的「s**k my balls」
? 「Kurva」 ——波蘭語里的碧池
? 「Culo」—— 西班牙語里的「a**」
? 「Figlio deputtana」—— 義大利語里的SOB
? 「Jebem ti mater」——塞爾威亞語里的」motherf****r」
? 「Perfututum」—— 拉丁語里的「totally f***ed」
? 「Kanker」——荷蘭語里表「癌症」，卻也演變成了髒話
? 「Geh schei?en！」——奧地利語里的「吔屎啦你」
? ?、用首字母的縮寫（Acronyms）
? 「WTF」 ——「what the f***,」
? 「SOB」 —— 「Son of a b****」
? 「BS」 —— 「bull s***!」
? ?、善用嗶音（Bleep）
視頻和廣播等媒體常常會使用屏蔽音（「bleep」 or 「beep」）來掩蓋swear words 或者一些違x詞來過審。同樣當我們忍不住要swear時，可以用 「嗶——」來掩人耳目。比如：
? 「This bleeping video is noisome!」
? 「I broke my bleeping phone!」
? 「I』m so bleeped.」
註：在這插一個造詞概念，Tmesis。Tmesis是一種很常見的插入式造詞方法，就是把一個詞拆成兩半，加點強調的東西進去，構成一個新詞。一是為了強調，二是為了調侃。比如，利用F-word的變種也可以衍生出無窮無盡的tmeses，像是Un-friggin』-believable (unbelievable)，legen-freakin』-dary(legendary)，abso-frickin』-lutely（absolutely）等等。

以上就是一十總結的關於fake cussing的幾種方式。話又說回來，一十覺得，為了避免curse words帶來的問題，最好的方式就是養成時時刻刻說 clean language的好習慣。平時多留心多記憶多使用swear-word alternatives ，觀察和借鑒文人雅士們的表達方式，一句話：Replace Swear Words with Sociality-Safe Fake Swear Words! 慢慢的，你的說話風格逐漸會大所改善，你的辭彙量會變大，你的思維方式會得到鍛煉，同時這些fake swear words也會給自己帶來一絲幽默感和詼諧感，甚至冥冥中幫助消除自己的一些偏見，緩和你的情緒。
