最近迷上Netflix的紀錄片，其中一部叫做《美食不美》（Ugly Delicious），負責任的說，光看名字就知道完全是與《舌尖上的中國》背道而馳，可是我不知怎麼還是邊看邊流口水，甚至看完某一集之後當場就去買了炸雞，雖然我對炸雞這類食物並不是非常感興趣。

俗話說得好，民以食為天，這已然充分解釋了食物與人類的關係，可是就算是這樣親密的關係，也得我看得見摸得著才不會幹著急啊，所以，每次看《舌尖上的中國》我都是做好了憋口水的準備，當然，口水自然是憋不住的，最後都以失敗告終。

算了，還是選擇這不中看的美食，搖滾與披薩都在手，簡單易得，張口就來。

This video spoofs the now-outdated style of infomercials on TV selling compilation CDs, tapes, or records. In the video, the words of famous rock songs are changed to be about pizza. As you probably know, (many, but not all!) people in the US are big pizza-eaters, and every region of the country has its own style of pizza of which local citizens are most proud.

這段視頻惡搞了電視上曾經出現過的一些CD，磁帶或者是唱片。在視頻中，一些經典歌曲里的歌詞改成了和披薩相關。你們可能知道，披薩在大部分美國人的餐桌上是絕對的主力軍（占很大部分，但並不是所有的人），而各地區的人們也都會有他們本地人引以為豪的披薩風格。

現在我們就來看看這些視頻中提到的歌曲其實都有哪些故事：

Boston - The band Boston / More Than a Feeling changed to More Than a Topping (topping- pizza toppings)

波士頓-波士頓樂隊《More Than a Feeling》改成了《More Than a Topping》（Topping在這裡指的是披薩表面的那層）

Chicago- the band Chicago / Saturday in the Park changed to Anchovy in the Box (anchovy- little pizza fish, box- pizza box)

芝加哥-芝加哥樂隊/《Saturday in the Park》改成了《Anchovy in the Box》（anchovy-用來做披薩的一種魚類，box-裝披薩的盒子）

Connecticut - the band The Doors/ Peace Frog (this song was written about an incident that happened in 1967 in the Connecticut town of New Haven. Band frontman Jim Morrison was the first rock star ever arrested on stage in front of the audience.) Lyrics "Theres blood on the streets in the town of New Haven" changed to "Theres sauce on the streets in the town of New Haven". (sauce- pizza sauce)

康涅狄格州-大門樂隊/《Peace Frog》（這首歌寫的是在1967年發生在美國康涅狄格州紐黑文鎮的一個事件，樂隊主唱吉姆·莫里森是歷史上第一個被當著觀眾的面拘捕的搖滾明星。）中間的歌詞「紐黑文鎮上的街道遍地是血」改成了「紐黑文鎮上的街道遍地是醬汁」。

San Francisco (also called "Bay Area" for the San Francisco Bay in the song) - The Grateful Dead, one of the most famous bands to come out of SF, and one of their most famous songs, Casey Jones, here changed to Cheesy Jones. The lyrics "Driving that train, high on cocaine" changed to "High on (some blow? Im not sure), rolling that dough". (Dough- pizza dough)

舊金山（在歌中又被稱為「灣區」，舊金山有時候被稱為「灣區」就是因為有一個舊金山灣）/在這個地區最著名的樂隊-感恩而死/《Casey Jones》改成了《Cheesy Jones》，歌詞中「Driving that train, high on cocaine」改成了「High on (歌詞聽不清楚), rolling that dough」。（Dough在這裡代表做披薩的麵糰。）

The last one is not a geographical area but a demographical area. College students in the USA are notorious for eating way too much pizza. College Rock describes bands that become popular on college campuses and college radio stations before eventually going mainstream. College rock band Depeche Modes Personal Jesus changed to Personal Pizza (At Pizza Hut and some other pizza restaurants, a personal pizza is the smallest size, just big enough for one person)

最後一個並不是一個在地域上的區域，而是一個以人群劃分的區域。美國的大學生是以超能吃披薩而在全國聞名的。搖滾學院這樣描述了那些在大學校園和大學廣播站中已經開始被人知曉的樂隊們其實最終也是要走要主流大眾的。這支大學搖滾樂隊趕時髦樂隊的歌《Personal Jesus》改成了《Personal Pizza》（在必勝客還有一些其他吃披薩的餐廳里，personal pizza就表示是最小尺寸的披薩，正好夠一個人吃。）

不管中文還是英文，語言只是一種媒介
