Quantities and Measurements

這種詞也叫數量詞,最常用的要數 some and any ,

The indefinite pronouns "some" and "any"

不定代名詞 some 和 any .

some money.

Would like some coffee?

  • I need some days off work, Im sick.
  • Hes just meeting some friends of his.
  • They are buying some new clothes for the kids.
  • She is at the store to get some food.
  • Can I have some water?
  • Could you lend me some money?
  • How about some coffee?
  • Do you want some biscuits?

  • We havent got any bread at home.
  • There arent any new messages on the answering machine.
  • She didnt have any news.
  • I dont have any money at the moment.

If it doesnt matter, whichoption one chooses from a range of possibilities, you also use "any":

  • You can come over any day, I am at home all week.
  • Any bus takes you to the theatre from here.

  • Are there any playgrounds around your neighbourhood?
