跟小莉老師學地道美語---「你死定了！」

同學們，我們平時經常會說，「天啊，沒做完作業，我死定了！」或者「你敢做這種事，你死定了！」

那麼美國人會怎麼說呢？地道的說法是，「Im toast!」

It means that they are in trouble. The reasons for saying this could be different. Its either that they did something bad and they are in trouble. Or they didnt do something like homework or chores and they are going to be in trouble for that.

For example:

A. Why do you choose such a thick veil for your wedding dress? 為什麼你的婚紗選這麼厚的面紗啊？

B. It will be my seventh wedding in this church. If the minister recognizes me, Im toast.這是我第七次在這個教堂結婚了，如果牧師認出我，我就死定了。

"Oh no, my mom realized I ate the last cookie. Im toast."

"Shoot, I fell asleep last night before finishing my final paper. Its due in 5 minutes. Im toast."
