《A rush of blood to the head》講的那個故事

購買過《A rush of blood to the head》原版CD的人，用CD機聽這張專輯的時候可能有這種感覺，這張專輯每首歌之間的間隔非常短，幾乎是無縫銜接。曾經我只是覺得它很特別，但多年之後，當我對英文的理解能力成長到能感知到一部分歌詞的深意的時候，我發覺歌曲連續的真正緣由－－整張《A rush of blood to the head》專輯說的是一個連續的故事，一個悲傷的愛情故事。

我把整個專輯的歌曲按照順序排列，並翻譯了歌詞，一部分是意譯，需要去體會敘述者的意境。也歡迎喜歡這個專輯的人們交流。

每個人對歌詞的解讀都不盡人意，如有覺得不對的地方也請包涵。

1，Politik（原意是「政治，策略」，放在愛情故事裡，我將其理解為「愛情觀」）

從這首歌的歌詞里，我們看到了男主好似掙扎在和女友的感情里，處於分手邊緣。

（這裡的「you」其實就是男主自己－－犯了這種錯的人該等多久呢？－－等待女主的回應）

曾經是有那條底線存在的

只是我犯糊塗了，是的，就是這樣

男主開始自述，他們的分手源自男主觸犯了一些愛情中的底線（是什麼事情沒有說），一開始的犯錯方是男主，只是女主的劇烈反應讓男主始料不及，直接分手這個結果也是男主完全無法承受的。男主目前在不斷的拒絕現實（我知道我做的不對，但我是犯了糊塗才這樣，一般不這樣）和煎熬（我還要等多久）中等待女主的回應。

男主等了許久之後，等來了女主的分手通知。男主女主同時表示分手後就on my way down了，並且還約定了where to draw the line。

詭異的言語出現了，什麼叫on my way down?僅僅是失落，崩潰嗎？分手不久見個面說完就完了嗎？為什麼還要約定一個地方去draw the line 呢？

由上文可知，男主求複合被拒絕，試圖跳海自殺，自殺被浪不斷的拍回來，突然對女主之前跟他說的一些話外之音有著不詳的預感。男主抱怨自己錯過了這些危險的細節，趕去女主家中。

承接上文，男主「不詳的預感」是意識到女主言外之意是要在分手後結束自己的生命。男主一邊後悔自己沒有早意識到這一點，一邊為女主愛他如此之深感到高興。男主在黎明時到達女主樓下，卻眼睜睜地看著女主從樓頂墜落。男主終於意識到自己已經永久地失去了自己的愛人。

男主仍然沉浸在痛苦之中，糾結著自己要不要隨女友而去

（這一段我認為是整個專輯的精髓。女主本來是打算搬走的，行李收拾一半卻選擇跳樓自盡，可見女主在這段感情中也是非常投入。男主一直在女主面前裝成一幅不在乎的樣子，女主死後面對女主的遺物卻徹底崩潰了，女主如果知道他這麼在乎自己可能也不會尋死，一切的悲劇都源於愛情雙方在誤會中強撐顏面。一切都失去了才後悔莫及。行李對他的喃喃低語也非常有畫面感）

他說「我要買下這裡看著它毀滅」

我又一次走向了生命的終點（之前男主在海灘自殺過一次，想起女主的暗示後奔回家中）

冥冥之中，你向我走來，把我從絞索上解了下來

最後，男主終於以自縊的方式追隨女主而去。在意識的最後時刻，已經死去的女主向他走來，把他從難受的套索上解救下來（其實他已經死了，他已經如願和女主在陰間重聚了）。

在我看來，整個專輯的基調是悲傷的，理解到這裡後反而get不到音樂的快樂，只剩下了憂傷。但是這樣一個悲傷的故事，卻開始提醒著我要更加善待和珍惜自己最愛的人。

這個專輯從高中伴我到現在，從CD機，聽到MP3，聽到酷我音樂，聽到手機里，聽到車裡。從當時不知道歌詞什麼意思就會跟著唱，到現在靜靜地聽他訴說不忍發聲打斷。想想還是把它寫下來吧。聽著歌曲字字解開每一首歌，它再次讓我熱淚盈眶。

最後是這張專輯的封面：

應該就是象徵女主消逝在塵世的意思吧。
