A Lyric——I Sigh for a Creeper

To the first girl I loved, with all my heart devoted

I Sigh for a Creeper

If in ones youth, never comes the dawn of love,

Then in summer, never bloom the dear flowers.

Although the green that the sky reflects in half,

The world, still a bleak world, it is.

A creeper in green foam was shadowed.

Of red, not the wall, fettered him but a flower.

Yet that rose, with a leaf, lift she did.

Frightened, frustrated, a ruined wall would be his favor.

Of gentle, was her fragrance,

Like a knife, stabbing one mans chest.

At her brilliant smile, only for a close glance,

A cloud, willingly, was to be a burning cloud.

There came a cold-blast air, on a midsummers night.

O unlike the day, no calm sweetness, was amid his heart.

Yet that rose, with a leaf, lift she did.

Still in bloom, stars faded and fled.

Aloof, the blue moon was oer a hallow.

Being humble, bowed the creeper so low.

At that moment, he pitied the lain, lonely grass,

Rather than crying for that leaf-lifting rose.

The creeper, a creature in daylight,

The red wall now means to him a fetter.

At long last, he cant be her lovely companion.

He climbs to the sky, wishing blazing sun hidden.
