這周的雅思寫作又是難題，是2011年的題目，也正好是我當年出國考的唯一一次的題目......一下子就已經過去7年了哈哈~

Today, advanced science and technology have made great changes to people』s life, but artists such as musicians, painters and writers are still highly valued. What can arts tell us about life that science and technology cannot?

Brainstorming部分，藝術告訴人們的是：

效率不應該是唯一重要的東西，慢一點不一定是壞事
浪漫也是很重要的~
藝術能幫助人們了解到他人的生活，但科技主要解決的是個人的問題，而不是其他人的問題

Currently, it is true that science and technology have become a crucial part in people』s daily life, but arts still are significant for human beings because arts allow people to learn about life from different angles.

To begin with, arts tell people that efficiency is not the most important thing. Currently, most manufacturers are making painstaking efforts to upgrade products to attract consumers, and they probably believe that it is a waste of time for painters to spend several months drawing a painting. However, since painters do not care about efficiency, they have more time to think about what they want to draw in a picture, and some of them, such as Van Gogh, even create masterpieces that influence the whole world. Therefore, from arts, people can learn that a higher efficiency should not be the only target of human beings.

In addition, people can learn the importance of romance from arts. For example, when a man wants to show his love for his girlfriend, he can choose to either write a poem or sing a song to his girlfriend, sincerely expressing his love, which may leave a deep impression on his girlfriend. However, if this man just knows how to do experiments, he may not realize the significance of describing his feeling for a girl in a romantic way. Therefore, science and technology do not focus on romance, but arts assist people to understand romance.

Besides, arts are also a channel through which people can learn about others lives. For example, if viewers observe a painting that describes peasants suffering famine and drought, those viewers may realize that not all human beings live in a comfortable condition, and it is necessary to help people in need. However, if a group of people are not the target market of a specific technological product, they may be directly neglected by manufacturers of this product. Comparatively, artists may show viewers what a real world is.

To sum up, arts can help people know that pursuing efficiency should not be the only goal, and romance is crucial in life, and arts can also help people learn about how others live their lives, but all these things may not be the major concerns of science and technology.
