　　昨夜星辰昨夜風　　畫樓西畔桂堂東　　身無彩鳳雙飛翼　　心有靈犀一點通　　隔座送鉤春酒暖　　分曹射覆蠟燈紅　　嗟余聽鼓應官去　　走馬蘭台類轉蓬

　　Last night was bright with stars but cold in gusts;　　Our feast was west of towrs and east of rows.　　Though wings we missed for flight from sky to sky,　　Yet love we sensed in hearts through nose to nose.　　The songs we sang in shingles lips to lips;　　The games we played by candles toes to toes.　　Oh dear, I sadly had to answer drum　　On horse to palace like a leaf in blows!
