冷知識用英語怎麼說，知道嗎？

Trivia——指的是瑣碎的、龐雜的事情或知識等。有些可能是饒富趣味、並隨時充斥在我們的生活周遭的，卻容易被我們忽略忽視或者罕為人知的「小秘密」。

該詞前綴為tri-，表示「三個的…」，詞根via，表示「道路」，合起來在拉丁文中的意思即「三岔路的」。

在古羅馬三岔路口是「到處都有的地點」「司空見慣的地點」，後來意義發生「變異延伸」是指「瑣碎的、常見的、不值一提小事情」，至今被我們拿來用作「冷知識」。

一、英文單詞字母次序打亂，依然能看懂

劍橋大學的一個研究發現， 單詞里字母的順序是完全沒關係的，唯一重要的東西是，首字母和尾字母是對的，其他字母可以完全打亂，但是你依然能夠完全看得懂。這是因為人的腦不是一個字母一個字母地看的，而是整體地看一個單詞。

二、各種小知識大盤點

1.幾乎所有以Q開頭的單詞，第二個字母都是U。Q與U的組合起源於希臘的拉丁文。（當然QQ不算）

2.「dreamt」是唯一以「mt」結尾的英文單詞。

3.「go.」是英語中最短的完整句。

4.「bookkeeper」是英語中唯一一個連續3次重複字母的單詞。

5.「The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog」用到了英語中所有的字母。

6.當代英語只有兩個單詞是以「-gry」結尾的，angry & hungry。

10.「Sixth sick sheik』s sixth sheep』s sick」是英語中最繞口的繞口令。

11.「assassination」和「bump」這兩個詞是莎士比亞創造的！意思分別是：「暗殺」和「碰撞」。

12.英語單詞「goodbye」來自於「godbye」，原意是「上帝與你同在」。

13.單詞「listen」（聽）和「silent」（安靜的）用到了一樣的字母。

14.「stressed」（有壓力的）倒過來拼就是「desserts」（甜點）。

五、一些不為人知的小秘密
