「The republicans WP gave the state too much rights and flexibility, which violate the ESSENTIAL idea of check and balances with which the US government was structured upon. Different power branches to check and balance each other, as the federal government and state government are two different branches, they should be able to have enough power to check the power of each other, to make sure that everyone is on the right track. But the republicans』 WP granted, to some degree, the state government with larger power. Therefore, the federal government loses the ability to enforce checking of the power of state governments and the ability to even know whether the state government good using their power.」 Sen. Casey remarked.
Sen. Bob Casey』s statement enlightened the session with a unique perspective, which argued that whether the flexibility that committee has given to state government would be a blunder.
Sen. Bill wasn』t being convinced by Sen. Bob Cassidy: 「Sen. Cassidy thanks to Sen. Bob Casey for his reminding, Sen. Cassidy would like to present an amendment for this WP by submitting a document. In the amendment, the 『check and balances』 part shall be included the regulation which is used to determining whether the money was used efficiently, determining the rate of the under coverage. Due to the major problem and variations in states, republicans will make the program as specific as possible.」
「Americans learn more about themselves rather than American government,」 Sen. John Thune claimed.
「American spirit,」 Ross Rankin Moody, the chairman of American National Insurance Company mentioned, 「Excessive government intervention is not in keeping with the American spirit. Americans take their liberty seriously. They dont want the government to interfere with their options. Sen. Hatch, as a senator of the U.S. senate, should consider this point instead of interfere the market.」
It was the first time that American spirit be put in the spotlight during the conference, while the 「capitalism」 and 「communism」 were also be highlighted. Reporter was excited about the healthcare issue could be concern in different dimensions.
The reporter also found out there was a special point from Sen. Bill Cassidy, due to the time constrict, he did not illuminate his point accurately, the reporter asked him for a further
explanation on the oligopoly.「When a number of companies would occupy the market as a constant collection of companies, the situation would be called as Oligopoly. This a serious phenomenon which really harms that market and weakened the competition while the working paper composed by the Democrats has imposed restrictions to one single company only which has actually got the highest rate of profit. Actually, this kind of control of the government to the market is a huge drawback when you are actually using the free market to increase competition for the lower of insurance and drug prices. In my opinion, this will eventually lead to the lack of passion of research for drug companies in particular. Also, for those large insurance companies, ones their company reaches a scale, they would control their prices smartly and therefore cut up all the chances for the smaller companies to survive, which is again, against
the free market. In advance, the Democrats are actually destroying their own basis which is the free market. The balance of the market can be easily broken and multiple companies will just take turns to profit from this huge loophole left by the Democrats.」 Sen. Cassidy explained. In summary, conflicts on the how to balance moderation and excess is the most popular topic senators were considering. The reporter approves their thinking method, hopefully senators can soon find their balance. The reporter is looking forward the best performances from senators during tomorrow』s final session.
