那些大公司的願景和使命

早上瀏覽博客時看到一篇文章 Good Product Team / Bad Product Team其中第一點寫道:

Good teams have a compelling product vision that they pursue with a missionary-like passion. Bad teams are mercenaries.

翻譯過來就是好的團隊擁有一個令人振奮的產品願景,他們有像傳教士一般的激情,而壞團隊只是一群僱傭兵。

剛工作的時候覺得願景和使命都是假大空的東西,沒什麼實際意義。直到現在才領悟過來,願景和使命才是最好的驅動力,這些東西能讓你明白你在為什麼工作,你在承擔什麼責任,你在為這個社會/世界做了些什麼,這些才是一個「社會人」的情懷。

2016 年初 Telsa 發布了 Model 3, 很快預訂數超過了 35 萬輛,現金超過 100 億美金,然而交付時間可能要到 2018,2019 年,其中一位預定用戶解釋自己願意付款的原因是

The biggest deal, and the reason it is worth it, is I truly believe in not only what Tesla is doing but the need to transition our energy system. Climate change is a huge problem, and if you don』t think it is, pollution from cars is a huge problem. The Model 3 gives me a way to put my money where my mouth is.

簡而言之就是這個用戶相信特斯拉的使命(特斯拉的使命是:To accelerate the world』s transition to sustainable energy),當前的氣候是個巨大的問題,而他願意一起和特斯拉做這些改變。願景和使命不僅能影響到團隊,同樣也會影響到你的用戶。這跟我們常說的初心很像,但又一樣。「初心」可能只為解決一個小小的需求,而願景和使命顯然承擔了更多的「社會責任」。

之前看到汽車之家創始人李想在微博上說過一句話今後只投資綠色能源相關和對社會有意義的項目,大概一個意思。這很大程度上能解決「我為什麼而工作」,尤其在中國這個信仰極度缺失的國度。

最後說一些,我覺得現在的人更多的是關心賺了多少錢,房子好不好,車子好不好,而少了很多對身邊、社會、自然的思考,單一的價值觀造成的結果是這個社會失去創造力,這相當可怕。
