JKRowling even wrote a short moment when only Snape looks into the glass and seeshis reflection. It gave me second thoughts... JK Rowling never makes mistakes.She was just a little bit confused about Charlie Weasleys birth date, buteverything else is totally coherent. Besides, magic items never lie, andRowling never writes anything by accident. If Snape can see his reflection intothe Foe-Glass, its that he is a real enemy of Barty Crouch Jr, the DeathEater. Therefore, the enemy of Voldemort. There is no way the magic item wasmaking a mistake, nor that this moment was written by pure hazard. The momentSnape looked into the Foe-Glass and saw himself reminded him who he truly becameand gave me hints that he could not be evil.
He (Dumbledore)stepped into the office, placed a foot underneath Moodys unconscious body, andkicked him over onto his back, so that his face was visible. Snape followedhim, looking into the Foe-Glass, where his own face was still visible, glaringinto the room.

I would have interpreted it differently but with the same result. Snape saw himself because the mirror was showing Snape his own enemy, himself, showing the dual nature of the character and hinting at his dual role in the events to follow.
