無特定病原體動物（specific pathogen-free animal，SPF）

無菌動物（germ-free animal，GF）

悉生動物（gnotobiotic animal，GN）

「指標」如何翻譯

「指標」如何翻譯？不要一看到「指標」就譯成index（作「指標」講時，複數為indices；作「索引」講時，複數為indexes），也可以考慮譯成indicators、 parameters、markers，如：biochemical parameters（生化指標）、immunological markers（免疫指標）和liver fibrosis markers（肝纖維化指標）。

adverse reactions和adverse effects的使用區別

adverse reactions的主語一般是病人，如：Patients in group A have fewer adverse reactions 或 the adverse reactions of patients. adverse effects的主語一般是藥物或治療方法，如This therapy has fewer adverse effects 或 the adverse effects of this therapy. 如果要把藥物或治療方法與adverse reactions 搭配，可以這樣寫：This therapy causes fewer adverse reactions.

這就類似efficacy的主語一般是藥物或治療方法，而treatment outcome 的主語一般是病人或疾病。（見: 療效 / 有效率 / 「治療3個月後」和「治療後3個月」）
