Some think young people are not suitable for important positions in the government, while others believe it is vital for young people to take on these posts. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

1. Since the current youth often do not have the option of becoming particular government officials, politicians can overlook their concerns and perspectives. If they had better representation than now, they would be able to rally more support for problems affecting them.

因為當今的年輕人常常都無法當上政府官員，政治家就可以忽視年輕人的擔憂和意見。如果年輕人在政府有更多的席位，那麼他們就能夠獲得更多的支持，解決年輕人遇到的問題。

2. Adding this diversity to the political climate would also benefit a nation as a whole. With a broader range of viewpoints, there will be a greater scope of ideas and solutions.

給政界增加多樣性也會讓整個國家受益。觀點涉及的範圍更廣（有不同年齡段的人提出的觀點），就會產生更廣泛的想法和解決方案。

3. It will also help increase the number of the young willing to have interest and to participate in politics. In many generations, getting the youth involved in issues more significant than themselves is always a challenge.

1. Lack Experience: Although the youth may want more power in government, giving them added control might have detrimental effects. Opening age restrictions on official positions could thrust them intosituations they are not ready for and lessen the amount of time expected for them to learn.

缺乏經驗。雖然年輕人可能想要在政界有更多的權力，但是他們的控制力了增加，可能會帶來破壞性的結果。放鬆對職位的年齡限制可能會將他們推向新的困境——他們還沒有準備好，又少了些他們本應用來學習的時間。

2. While age does not always make people wise, it often does. Young minds may have lots of excellent ideas, but without the lessons only life teaches, they will not know how to implement their plans or may let their thoughts run amok.

The age restrictions give us time to form our belief systems while still having a voice. In my country, the minimum age requirements for specific positions is eighteen, and it is natural that more critical jobs have a higher age requirement since those people are responsible for the representation of many ages, races, backgrounds.

限制年齡，這一點既給了我們時間形成自己的思想體系，又保證了我們仍然（在晚一點的年齡階段）有發言權。在我的國家，具體崗位的最低年齡要求是18歲；更重要的崗位，自然會要求更大年紀，因為這些崗位上的工作者要為不同年齡、人種和背景的人負責。
