一句話翻譯分享（醫學類）（27）

例句選自重醫王燕老師的《醫學英語翻譯與寫作教程》2008年9月第一版 P51

今天翻譯涉及的主題是利用括弧進行翻譯。這一辦法更多屬於技巧性使用。

句法部分：

1、「commonly considered contaminants of meat and poultry」插入語部分過長，結合主語先行翻譯；

2、上下句聯繫緊密，下半句無需重複主語；

3、「acidic fruit juices such as orange juice」若翻譯為「如橘子汁一類的酸果汁」，讀起來會破壞原文後半部分的平行結構。

翻譯：

大腸埃希氏桿菌和腸炎沙門氏菌通常被看作是肉類和禽類的污染源，可見於各種各樣的食物，如冰激凌、蘋果汁、酸果汁（如橘子汁）、甜瓜、萵苣等。
