辭彙層面

1、Health promotion efforts：其中，effort在柯林斯中的解釋為：「If you say that something is an effort, you mean that an unusual amount of physical or mental energy is needed to do it.」

2、disabling：致殘性。

句子層面

1、句子結構斷層：

2、a condition與osteoporosis同位，後面接了從句；故譯文重複了「骨質疏鬆症」。

參考譯文如下

小點注意：

1、 in the 1990s 因拆譯後要增譯過多，應避免單獨翻譯。

2、主句過去時，從句現在時。應進行理解。（前者因時間，後者為定義、說明性質）
