so……that結果狀語從句，可翻譯作「如此……以致於」

home appliances 家用電器 smart 聰明/智能化 result in 導致 psychological disorder 心理混亂、心理失調、心理疾病 kitchen rage 廚房狂躁症

完整翻譯：家用電器將變得如此智能化，以致於控制和操作它們將導致一種新的心理疾病——廚房狂躁症。

例2： The behavioral sciences have been slow to change partly because the explanatory items often seem to be directly observed and partly because other kinds of explanations have been hard to find.

加黑翻譯為「部分原因是......」

行為科學之所以發展緩慢，部分原因是解釋性的依據通常是被直接觀察所得，部分原因是其他各類的解釋一直難以發現。

英語中狀語和狀語從句常常可以直接翻譯，但是需要把時間、條件、讓步和原因狀語從句翻譯到主句之前。狀語的最佳位置應該是在主語後動詞前，時間在前地點在後。
