英語和漢語，在語言、文化和教學法方面差異巨大。

本系列文章選用英國人的觀點，所以借用了英國的標誌性動物——獅子。

Some people believe that it is good to share as much information as possible in scientific research, business and the academic world. Others believe that some information is too important or too valuable to be shared freely. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

一個英國人的觀點

Sharing is good because

1. More people benefit from our knowledge and new ideas.

更多人會受益於我們的知識和我們新的想法。

2. We generate goodwill and are more likely to meet others who want to work with us and help us.

我們展示了好意，更有可能遇到想要和我們一起工作和幫助我們的人。

3. If many people share ideas, they all benefit from the ideas of other people and so can make better and quicker progress in their chosen field.

如果很多人都分享，他們就都會受益於其他人的想法，這樣就可以在自己選擇的領域中更快地取得更大的進步。

4. It can help to eliminate errors. It forces us to be accurate and clear because others will look more critically on our work than us.

這樣做有助於消除錯誤。這樣做迫使我們做事兒更精確、清晰，因為其他人會比我們自己更批判地看我們的作品。

Sharing is bad because

1. The unrestricted sharing of knowledge often means that academics and inventors are not rewarded fairly for their discoveries.

2. Some research is sensitive e.g. defence technology, and should not get into the hands of people whose intentions are bad

有些研究比較敏感，比如國防技術，不能掉入壞人的手中。
