又到了和前妻卡蘿初次嘿咻的紀念日，羅斯心煩意亂，遂跟隨錢德和喬伊去看曲棍球比賽，不料遭球擊中。

在醫院裡，羅斯透露說卡蘿是同他有過親密關係的唯一女性。錢德和喬伊同感不屑。

瑞秋的昔日閨中密友來訪；見旁人春風得意，瑞秋不禁有些怨天尤人。

三位姑娘辦了一場睡衣派對，菲比本想用魔豆的故事安慰瑞秋，卻讓三人都想到自己的人生沒有明確的目標，情緒低迷；

後來因為送錯的披薩，她們發現了在街對面的迷人的史特噴那彼拉斯先生，頓時歡天喜地。

[Scene: Central Perk, everyone is there except Joey.]

Monica:nAlright. Phoebe?

Phoebe:nYeah, right! See, he gave up something, but then he got those magic beans. Andnthen he woke up, and there was this, this big plant outside his window, full ofnpossibilities and stuff.. And he lived in a village, and you live in thenVillage..

Village:Phe在羅列jack和rach的相同之處，jack住在一個真正的村子裡，而紐約的住宅區大多也都叫Village，（Greenwich Village，East Village，West Village），這在Phe眼中也是相同點

Receptionist:n(on phone) Hold on. (To Chandler)nFill these out, sit over there. (Tosses him some forms.)

(She slides the gladd panel over and Chandler talks through it in a loud voice.)nOh, cmon Dora, dont be mad... I know we both said some things we didnt mean,nbut that doesnt mean we still dont love each other. (To the waiting room.)nYknow, I feel like Ive lost her.. (She slides the panel back, he turns, andnit takes him by surprise.) Ba-!

gladd panel 擋板/slide the glad panel滑動擋板/mad adj.生氣的，激動的，瘋狂的/ that gug with the toe thing腳趾受傷的人;chandler的這個笑話,如果放在中國就是"他是不是開了後門",只是他指的這個後門不是通關係或者送錢,而是直接貢獻身體.當然因為這個腳趾受傷的是個男人(guy),所以就顯的好笑,因為一般只有女人貢獻身體才有用.

Chandler:nTo the left, to the left- aww! (They all collapse)

Rachel: (onnphone) Ohhh... Im fine.
