放棄學英語的原因對於不同的人來說多種多樣，有人覺得學習英語沒用，因為用不著；有人不喜歡英語老師，所以討厭英語；有人覺得語法這麼多規則誰記得住呀，所以放棄學英語。

還有很多人放棄學英語的原因是英語辭彙，對於很多英語學習者來說，這簡直就是一個反覆的噩夢。記了又忘，忘了又記，在一段時間的反反覆復之後，完全放棄學英語。

學習英語是一件讓很多人都感到痛苦的事情，因為很多人只是為了應付考試。就算當初花了很多時間在英語上，但是之後不用也會忘記之前學過的大部分，這簡直就是浪費時間和生命。英語的重要性不言而喻，很多人死在英語這道坎上其實就是因為極大的功利性，把所有的方法都建立在了高效和快速上，凡是看到了這種快速，高效，30天看美劇不用字幕這一類字眼的廣告就開始不淡定了，以為有什麼一夜之間就可以出口成章的狀態。

慢慢來，最快

這種慢是建立在踏實的基礎之上，

加上正確的學習方法和引導就是高效方式。

其實學習英語並不只是辭彙，發音，語法，更重要的是一種文化的學習，思維的學習。如果能夠激發學習者的興趣就是非常好的方式，如果你喜歡歷史、地理、文化、文學等等，那你可以將自己的興趣點與英語相結合起來，達到一個英語+的狀態。

英語初學者容易把Tuesday和Thursday兩個單詞中記混淆，Wednesday的拼寫一直是個問題。每一個單詞背後都有一個寶藏。星期不同的名字最初起源於古巴比倫，經過繁榮的古希臘和古羅馬的傳播後到達了最後的不列顛。星期在每一個時期都有不同的名字，但每個時期的西方人都將自己崇拜的神的名字取為星期當中不同的天數。所以，神在西方文化中是非常重要的一個組成部分。

Mondayis the day of the week between Sunday and Tuesday. According to the international standard ISO 8601 it is the first day of the week. The name of Monday is derived from Old English Mōnand?g and Middle English Monenday,originally a translation of Latin dies lunae "day of the Moon".

這一天是為了紀念「月亮女神」而命名的。

大家對於Monday最有印象的應該是-Cyber Monday。網購星期一是美國感恩節之後的那個星期一，在這一天各大線上購物平台都會有很大的促銷折扣。但是跟我們的雄偉壯觀的Double 11比起來還是差那麼一些，不知道各位在雙十一有沒有剁手？

Tuesdayis a day of the week occurring after Monday and before Wednesday. The English name is derived from Old English Tiwesd?g and Middle English Tewesday, meaning"Tīws Day", the day of Tiw or Tyr, the god of single combat, victoryand heroic glory in Norse mythology. and the name of the day is a translation of Latin dies Martis.

這一天是為了紀念戰神Tyr而由他的名字命名的。

星期二當中比較出名的就是超級星期二-Super Tuesday。因為美國總統選舉可分為預選和大選兩個階段，在開始預選的時候，會有多個州集中在星期二這一天進行選舉投票，其結果對最終黨內提名會產生非常大的影響。去年的希拉里大戰川普的戰爭以川普的勝利為最後結果，這場大決戰真的引起了不小的震動，兄弟反目，父子成仇，搞的家庭都不和諧了。

Wednesday is the day of the week following Tuesday and before Thursday.The name is derived from Old English Wōdnesd?g and Middle English Wednesdei,"day of Woden", reflecting the pre-Christian religion practiced by the Anglo-Saxons.

Woden是北歐諸神之父。

Thursday-Day of Jupiter

Thursdayis the day of the week following Wednesday and before Friday. It is often abbreviated to Th or Thu.

這一天是用北歐神話中Thor的名字來命名的。Thor是掌管雷電之神。

Friday-Day of Venus

The name Friday comes from the Old English Frī?ed??, meaning the "day of Frige", a result of an old convention associating the Old English goddess Frigg with the Roman goddess Venus, with whom the day is associated in many different cultures.

在古英文中意思是Friggs day。Frigg是北歐神話中主司婚姻和生育的女神, 也是Woden的妻子。

周五中比較著名的就是Black Friday。 Black Friday is the nickname of the day after Thanksgiving, the first day of the traditional Christmas shopping season.這一天，很多線下的商店都會瘋狂的折扣，但是你一定要早到。所以部分人提前幾天就排好隊了，就是為了等待那超級便宜的貨物！這個情況可比超市大媽們厲害多了。

Saturday is the day of the week following Friday and preceding Sunday. The Romans named Saturday Sāturni diēs ("Saturns Day") no later than the 2nd century for the planet Saturn, which controlled the first hour of that day。

Saturn是羅馬神話中的農神, 掌管五穀。

周六對很多人來說就是一個休息的日子，晚起、躺屍、看電視劇、購物、與朋友相聚等等。但是在美國有一檔在周六晚上播出的節目-周六夜現場 Saturday Night Live

。是美國電視史上最長壽的節目之一。節目由一系列諷刺惡搞當下政治和文化的喜劇小品組成，每周都有不同的客座主持人與音樂來賓加入。包括去年競選美國總統的希拉里和川普都去過！

Sunday-Day of the Sun

Sunday is the day of the week after Saturday but before Monday. Sunday is a day ofrest in most Western countries, as a part of the weekend. For most Christians,Sunday is observed as a day of worship and rest, holding it as the Lords Day and the day of Christs resurrection.

對基督徒而言, 星期日是「安息日」, 因為耶穌復活的日子是在星期日。

Super Bowl Sunday-超級碗

The Super Bowl is the annual championship game of the National Football League(NFL), the highest level of professional American football in the world.The day on which the Super Bowl is played, now considered by some as an unofficial American national holiday, It is called "Super Bowl Sunday".

這種兇殘的比賽，看起來也是怕怕的。但是在美國是非常火爆的體育賽事，每年超級碗的中場秀吸引眼球的一個環節，大牌明星做客。High爆全場。

如果對某些感興趣的內容還可以深入的了解，用興趣來激發學習英語的熱情。這樣的效果比死記硬背然後不用忘的也快的情況好多了，沒什麼事情是一蹴而就的，慢慢來最快。
