加瑟渴望瑞秋。
莫妮卡愛上了愛寫詩的同事朱力歐;
朱力歐為莫妮卡做詩,詩中將莫妮卡比作沒腦子的花瓶,而莫妮卡並未領會弦外之音。事後莫妮卡請了四人演唱組將朱力歐羞辱了一番。
羅斯在單身派對上有艷遇,瑞秋嫉妒了。
3.12 The One With All The Jealousy
Rachel has her first day on the job;
Ross sends her a singing telegram, and continues to be jealous about Mark.
Chandler arranges a bachelor party for his cousin.
Joey gets an audition for a Broadway musical, but he cant dance.
Gunther pines for(v.渴望) Rachel.
Monica falls for Julio, a co-worker at the diner who writes a poetry;
He writes a poem for Monica which isnt very flattering(adj.討人喜歡的).
Ross and Ben have a play date with the stripper from the bachelor party, which makes Rachel jealous.

[Scene: Monica and Rachels, Rachel is getting ready for her first day.]
Rachel: (running in from her bedroom, wearing only a towel) Okay. Hey. Umm. Does everybody hate these shoes?
Chandler: Oh yeah, but dont worry. I dont think anybodys gonna focus on that as long as you are wearing that towel dress.
Rachel: (to Ross) Tell him.
Ross: (to Chandler) Its her first day at this new job. Your not supposed to start with her!

Phoebe: Oh, totally. Oh, God, oh, she seemed so happy too.

[Scene: Rachels office, her desk is covered with stuff Ross has sent her.]
Mark: (reaching through the flowers) Do you have the, the Ralph Lauren file?
Rachel: Oh, yeah, sure, its umm... (she picks up this bug and it starts to play the theme from Love Story)

(They start to kiss, and Ross rushes into the office to break it up.)

Ross: I have been down in your store for twenty minutes trying to get a tie! What do I have to do to get some service?! (turns to Rachel) Hi Rach. (Hes puts his hand on her shoulder and she knocks it away.)

Monica: Yknow, so I dont read as many important books as you do, and I dont write trick poems that seem to be about one thing but are actually about something else. And yknow what, I get excited about stupid stuff, like when I my People magazine comes on Saturday, and the new Hold Everything catalog. Yknow but that does not mean that Im empty, I care about things. I care about my friends and family. You have no right to make that kind of judgment about me.

Rachel: (to Chandler) Well, theres a kiss that he wont forget for a couple of hours, yknow.
Chandler: Yeah. Either that, or you just turned him on and sent him off to a stripper.

[Scene: The Moondance Diner.]
Man: (entering) Is there a Julio here?
Julio: (to him) I am Julio.
(The rest of barbershop quartet enters, and joins him.)
Man: (singing) Mister Pretentious, (Monica stands up in the background) you think theres no one finer, well but your poems are unpublished, and you work in a diner.
pretentious adj.自命不凡的/finer adj.好的,出色的
Quartet: Your no Gods gift to women, thats all in your headdddd. You are just a buttmunch.
buttmunch n.=An annoying person, particularly a small one you cant call a worse name小人
Bass Singer: No one likes a buttmunch.
Quartet: And your also bad in bedd-edd-edd!.
(Monica waves at Julio.)
