遊戲《Braid》（時空幻境）為什麼起名叫做 Braid，有什麼深意嗎？

在網上沒有找到起名的原因，我也猜Braid的起名是受GEB的影響，補充幾個猜想的證據。

1.Jonathan Blow學過計算機科學和語言學/文學，GEB算是計算機和語言等等相關的一本神書，我猜想他有很大可能讀過這本書。

Blow explains that in college, he double-majored in English and Computer Science – and he puts the difference this way: "English is very much creatively-driven. Its mostly analysis and interpretation and history of literature. And basically, the entire bachelors degree in English is all about bullshitting things. And Computer Science, which was my other major, was exactly the opposite of that. You had to know what you were doing, and you had to know what you were talking about." [1]

2.Braid開頭和結尾也採取了「迴文」的形式，即開頭即結尾，這和GEB的形式也非常相像，TIM也是從黑暗中又跑向了黑暗。

GEB書名《Godel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid》前後也是都包含GEB三個字母，書中也多採取類似形式。

3.Braid髮辮的意思也可以在遊戲中找到，TIM追尋公主，her braid lashing him with contempt，這和An Eternal Golden Braid也非常融洽

Not just one. He made many mistakes during the time they spent together, all those years ago. Memories of their relationship have become muddled, replaced wholesale, but one remains clear: the Princess turning sharply away, her braid lashing him with contempt.

braid還有一個意思：鏈式反應

另外：braid 一般被認為是說公主的髮辮，不過 An Eternal Golden Braid 顯然更符合遊戲的氛圍，和遊戲中對於時空的概念。

記得當時玩的時候，看過攻略，說是鏈式反應的意思吧！
