She Walks in Beauty
by Lord ByronShe walks in beauty, like the night Of cloudless climes and starry skies;And all thats best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes: Thus mellowed to that tender light Which heaven to gaudy day denies.One shade the more, one ray the less, Had half impaired the nameless grace Which waves in every raven tress, Or softly lightens oer her face; Where thoughts serenely sweet express How pure, how dear their dwelling place.And on that cheek, and oer that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent, The smiles that win, the tints that glow, But tell of days in goodness spent, A mind at peace with all below, A heart whose love is innocent!
by Lord ByronI saw thee weep the big bright tearCame out that eye of blue;And then me thought it did appear
A violet dropping dew:I see thee smilethe sapphire』s blazeBeside thee ceased to shine;It could not match the living raysThat filled that glance of thine.As clouds from yonder sun receiveA deep and mellow dyeWhich scarce the shade of coming eveCan banish from the sky,
Those smiles unto the moodiest mindTheir own pure joy impart;Their sunshine leaves a glow behindThat lightens on the heart.
查良錚 譯我看過你哭——一滴明亮的淚湧上了你藍色的眼珠;那時候,我心想,這豈不就是一朵紫羅蘭上垂著露;
我看過你笑——藍寶石的火焰在你前面也不再發閃,呵,寶石的閃爍怎能比得上你那一瞥的靈活的光線。彷彿是烏雲從遠方的太陽得到濃厚而柔和的色彩,就是冉冉的黃昏的暗影也不能將它從天空逐開;你那微笑給我陰沉的腦中也灌注了純潔的歡樂;
I wandered lonely as a cloud
By William WordsworthThat floats on high oer vales and hills,When all at once I saw a crowd,A host of golden daffodils;Beside the lake, beneath the trees,Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,They stretched in never-ending lineAlong the margin of a bay:Ten thousand saw I at a glance,Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.The waves beside them danced, but theyOut-did the sparkling waves in glee:A poet could not but be gay,In such a jocund company:I gazed -and gazed -but little thoughtWhat wealth the show to me had brought:For oft, when on my couch I lieIn vacant or in pensive mood,They flash upon that inward eyeWhich is the bliss of solitude;And then my heart with pleasure fills,And dances with the daffodils.
Gather ye rosebuds while ye may/Old time is still a-flying/And this same flowers that smiles today/Tomorrow will be dying
I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow ofput to rout allthat was not life, and not, when I had come to die, discover that I had not lived
BY Elizabeth BishopThe moon in the bureau mirror
looks out a million miles(and perhaps with pride, at herself,but she never, never smiles)far and away beyond sleep, orperhaps shes a daytime sleeper.By the Universe deserted,
shed tell it to go to hell,and shed find a body of water,or a mirror, on which to dwell.So wrap up care in a cobweband drop it down the wellinto that world invertedwhere left is always right,where the shadows are really the body,where we stay awake all night,where the heavens are shallow as the seais now deep, and you love me.

Negro Speaks of Rivers
by Langston HughesIve known rivers:
Ive known rivers ancient as the world and older than the flow of human blood in human rivers.My soul has grown deep like the rivers.I bathed in the Euphrates when dawns were young.
I built my hut near the Congo and it lulled me to sleep.I looked upon the Nile and raised the pyramids above it.I heard the singing of the Mississippi when Abe Lincoln went down to New Orleans, and Ive seen its muddy bosom turn all golden in the sunset.Ive known rivers:
Ancient, dusky rivers.My soul has grown deep like the rivers.《黑人談河流》,這首詩是18歲的休斯乘車去墨西哥的旅途中一氣呵成的,他自己說「用了十分鐘至一刻鐘時間」(也是詩人發表的第一首詩)。

No man or woman is worth your tears,and the one who is ,won』t make you cry. The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them knowing you can』t have them. Never frown,even when you are sad,because you never know who is falling in love with your smile. To the world you may be one person,but to one person you may be the world. Don』t waste your time on a man/woman,who isn』t willing to waste their time on you. Just because someone doesn』t love you the way you want them to,doesn』t mean they don』t love you with all they have. Don』t try to hard,the best things come when you least expect them to. Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one,so that when we finally meet the person,we will know how to be grateful. Don』t cry because it is over,smile because it happened. Life is a pure flame,and we live by an invisible sun within us. ——《love》
When i stand there at the days end ,thou shalt see my scars and know that i had my wounds and also my healing .
We Are Seven
BY WILLIAM WORDSWORTH
A simple Child, dear brother Jim
That lightly draws its breath, And feels its life in every limb, What should it know of death?I met a little cottage Girl:
She was eight years old, she said; Her hair was thick with many a curl That clustered round her head.She had a rustic, woodland air,
And she was wildly clad: Her eyes were fair, and very fair; —Her beauty made me glad.「Sisters and brothers, little Maid,
How many may you be?」 「How many? Seven in all,」 she said, And wondering looked at me.「And where are they? I pray you tell.」
She answered, 「Seven are we; And two of us at Conway dwell, And two are gone to sea.「Two of us in the church-yard lie,
My sister and my brother; And, in the church-yard cottage, I Dwell near them with my mother.」「You say that two at Conway dwell,
And two are gone to sea, Yet ye are seven! I pray you tell, Sweet Maid, how this may be.」Then did the little Maid reply,
「Seven boys and girls are we; Two of us in the church-yard lie, Beneath the church-yard tree.」「You run about, my little Maid,
Your limbs they are alive; If two are in the church-yard laid, Then ye are only five.」「Their graves are green, they may be seen,」
The little Maid replied, 「Twelve steps or more from my mother』s door, And they are side by side.「My stockings there I often knit,
My kerchief there I hem; And there upon the ground I sit, And sing a song to them.「And often after sun-set, Sir,
When it is light and fair, I take my little porringer, And eat my supper there.「The first that died was sister Jane;
In bed she moaning lay, Till God released her of her pain; And then she went away.「So in the church-yard she was laid;
And, when the grass was dry, Together round her grave we played, My brother John and I.「And when the ground was white with snow,
And I could run and slide, My brother John was forced to go, And he lies by her side.」「How many are you, then,」 said I,
If they two are in Heaven?"The little maid did reply,"O Master! We are seven.""But they are dead: those two are dead!
Their spirits are in Heaven!"Twas throwing words away: for stillThe little Maid would have her will,And said, "Nay, we are seven!"- 一首關於死亡的Romantic poem·and life shall fly like a rabbit
