《全球智庫報告2014》在全球55個城市同時發布，這是有史以來規模最大的一次全球智庫排行發布會，來自中國10多家智庫的代表在北京共同見證了中國會場的報告發布全程。報告共有172頁，有49個分項表單。在最重要的「全球智庫150強榜單」中，有7家中國智庫入圍，分別是中國社會科學院、中國國際問題研究院、國務院發展研究中心、中國現代國際關係研究院、上海國際問題研究院、北京大學國際戰略研究院、中國人民大學重陽金融研究院。
