從英文版維基百科git條目中，我找到了如下段落，原來git是個單詞，不是編造出來的，它的含義是「爛人」！！！

Linus總是將他的項目用他自己來命名，而他自認為是個自負的混蛋，所以選了爛人這個詞。^^

我腦補，當時的Linus大概一邊想著BitKeeper，一邊想罵人，於是很容易想到git這個詞……？
