生活不隻眼前的苟且，還有詩和遠方。這裡的「苟且」應該是現實社會的那種爾虞我詐的意思吧，找了好多詞也不能翻譯準確。小小的要求：信達雅，有詩意，「苟且」的翻譯準確，整句翻譯。

其實我覺得直譯是真的不好，前半句「苟且」是一個抽象名詞，而後半句表達與之對立意思則用了「詩和遠方」這樣的具象名詞來指代另一種人生追求，首先「苟且」真的很難在英文中找到一個意義完全相同的抽象名詞，必須用解釋的方法；直譯的「詩和遠方」在英文中不一定是個合適的意象，特別是遠方。
我覺得比較好的解決方法有兩個，要麼兩個分句都處理成抽象名詞，要麼兩個分句都處理成借代的意象。
抽象的話我覺得詩和遠方比較合適的應該是romance 和 journey
而用意象借代的話，說實話我看到這句話立馬聯想到的是毛姆的《月亮與六便士》，也許sixpence和the moon也可以嘗試用在這裡~
具體的翻譯想到再上來補充……跑了……趕稿子……
首先表達一下個人不同的看法：高在這句話中"苟且"的意思應該為現實生活，「苟且」這個詞偏貶義，應該是想表達一種對世俗生活的蔑視。爾虞我詐可能是現實生活的一部分，但是我認為「苟且」更多的應該是在說柴米油鹽、生計維繫等世俗生活。因此我在下面都翻譯成了「柴米油鹽」/「鍋碗瓢盆」，只要完成了整句的翻譯，後面的「詩和遠方」自然能夠構成對前一種生活狀態的壓制，譯文如下，供討論：
