照明和燈光有什麼區別嗎？

最近在寫論文，發現照明和燈光這兩個辭彙真的很難區分，有沒有明白的幫忙回答一下呢？

你是指lighting和illumination的區別嗎？

我的理解是，lighting更多指「布光」，更側重光源的位置、方向、搭配，對室內場景來說目的是達到某種特定的光線效果。

例如：

1. Mellow music and lighting helped to create the right atmosphere.
柔和的音樂和燈光襯托出了適宜的氛圍。
2. The stage lighting gives the effect of a moonlIt"scene.

舞檯燈光產生月夜景色的效果。
3. The lighting in that restaurant is soft and romantic.
那個餐館照明柔和而且浪漫。

illumination更多指「照亮」，更側重光線所照亮的空間整體而非光源，對室內場景目的是達到照亮的效果。比較容易和lighting混淆之處是illumination也包括裝飾彩燈的照明，比如聖誕樹裝飾燈、街頭彩燈都叫illumination，因為此時的燈已不再是燈，而是「被照亮的環境」的一部分了。

例如：

1. The only illumination in the room came from the fire.
屋子裡唯一的光亮來自爐火。
2. Daylight came in through its glass roof;this was now the only illumination.
日光透過玻璃屋頂照入；眼下這是室內惟一的照明。
3. The skylight will provide good illumination from above.

頂上有天窗，光線會很充足。

再比如路燈，lighting和illumination都可以用，前者側重燈的存在，後者側重亮的效果。
