不少消費者都很關心新一代iPhone是否支持4G網路，而三星同樣很關注這個問題。今天早些時候，韓國媒體帶來消息稱，韓國電信運營商SK Telecom已經證實iPhone 5將支持LTE功能。
消息稱，SK Telecom公開表示已經與蘋果達成一致，準備在韓國推出支持LTE的iPhone 5。很快三星就再次對外宣稱，如果最後真是這樣，那麼他們會第一時間起訴蘋果（趕在iPhone 5上市前）。

此外，三星還表示稱，除了韓國，他們還會在美國和歐洲對蘋果起訴，並要求法院在該地區或國家內禁售iPhone 5，因為這款手機必定會侵犯自家所有的4G LTE專利。
有意思的是，目前美國國際貿易委員會正在審理HTC與蘋果的專利案，其中HTC宣稱蘋果侵犯了他們與4G LTE技術有關的兩項專利，而接受此案的法官Thomas Pender表示，蘋果可能很難認定其中兩項專利無效。如果HTC最終獲勝，那麼新iPad甚至是iPhone 5（如果它支持4G網路）都不能逃脫被禁售的命運。
