漢譯英問題：父母在，不遠行。這句話該怎樣譯才比較貼切？
希望在給出答案的同時，能夠以中英文化的文化之間差異作為切入點，對您的翻譯進行講解。
這話實在是戳著我痛處了，考慮了幾個小時，略略查了下字典，覺得也許可以這麼譯：
While (the) parents are still living, it is better for (the) child not to go on a long journey.
living也可以用alive代替，但我比較傾向於living，表示「還健在」。想過用before parents pass away（不用die是為了委婉些），但直接說「死」總給人感覺不太好。
正如@李沉舟所言，西方文化是不講究這種觀點的，孩子成人了離開家是常事，甚至有些家長還鼓勵孩子成人後出去遠遊，多看看世界。我老公有個親戚，家裡獨子前些年查出有腦瘤，經治療後稍有起色，父母就放他去澳大利亞學習英語、去別的國家旅遊，去年他腦瘤複發過世。但我想對他的父母來說，放手讓他出去看世界，在這點上他們絕不會感到遺憾。
補充：結合@和啟星的評論，硬譯的話，就這樣吧：While (the) parents are still living, it is better for (the) child not to stay far away from home.
《論語·里仁》，第十九
原文：子曰：「父母在，不遠遊，遊必有方。」白話：孔子說：「父母在世，不出遠門。如果要出遠門，必須要有一定的去處。」游，指遊學、游官、經商等外出活動。方，指方向，地方，處所。辜鴻銘譯：
Confucius remarked, 「While his parents are living, a son should not go far abroad; if he does, he should let them know where he goes.」

不同的地方，就在於對「子」、「曰」、「 a son/he 」和「 go/travel/wander 」了。其實，我也說不出來什麼……Never leave your parents too far away,until they was your parents
