英語口語中常用俚語都有哪些？日常交流的信息中都有哪些常用縮寫？

舉幾個在平時碰到過的情況吧：

1，cookie-cutter.在公司開會的時候聽到過很多次，好像美國人說的尤其多。

cookie-cutter

(idiomatic, often disparaging) Looking or seeming identical; created by some standard orcommon means; often with the implication that the result is common, boring, or not applicableto all needs.

eg:I don"t think a cookie-cutter solution will work in all cases.

2, 輕鬆隨意的表達謝意，一般說cheers不會顯的太生分。比如同事開門讓後面的我先進，說聲cheers比thank you來的親密隨意些。

3，unreal. 表示什麼東西棒極了的時候，很口語化。比如：The dinner was unreal!

4, botch. 比如你把某項工作搞砸了，可以說botch it up。形容詞是botched。近義詞有blunder，也是會在口語中聽到。

5，haggle.談項目的時候談價錢就是haggle the price啊！另外，任何討價還價都可以用haggle來講，比如：I managed to haggled the price of the cup to 1 dollars!

6, mate. （別想歪了）你的好buddy，好基友都可以直接稱呼為mate。一般用在男男間用，用在女的身上有些怪怪的。。。比如和你關係不錯的男同事告別可以說：see you, mate!

7, Out of sorts. 指不開心，不舒服的狀態。比如你準備很久的項目被老闆槍斃了，你很不開心，可以說：I am feeling a bit of out of sorts now.

8, chill out. 非常非常常用的口語，意思是放鬆的意思。比如你正在喝咖啡放鬆，朋友打電話問你在幹嘛，你就可以說：I am just chilling out. Would you like to join me?

當然你看到別人對什麼事情反應過度，你也可以告訴他chill out，意思是讓他放鬆，不要大驚小怪。

9,babe. 一般是男生之間說哪個女生很漂亮，很性感啊，就可以說她是一個total babe.當然你不能對女生直接稱呼babe，小心人家給你一巴掌。

10, busted. 你幹壞事的時候被抓了就是get busted。口語里非常非常常見。

11,blast. 很常用的口語，這裡不是爆炸的意思哦。你會聽到Yesterday"s party was a complete blast!是說party非常棒，很好玩。也可以說I had a blast in yesterday"s party,一樣的意思。

12,epic failure. 由此同事做了一個非常糟糕的presentation，然後被私下說是an epic failure. epic是指complete, huge,意思是非常糟糕的失敗。

13, easy peasy.很口語話，是說什麼東西很簡單。

14, okeydokey.就是ok的意思啦，只是有些俏皮的說法，心情好的時候會用。比如："Can you get this done by today?""Okeydokey"

15, ripped. 說男生肌肉發達，線條很美。比如: Oh, dude, How did you get so ripped?

16, awesome. 美國人每句話基本都有這個詞，我都聽煩了。

17, rip-off.貴到感覺是在搶錢的東西統統都是rip-off!

18,rule of thumb.這個詞也吃很常用啊，有點像中文的「竅門」，比如做什麼事情的"竅門"就是rule of thumb啊。

Pop one』s clogs

被譽為是最英國的一句俚語，有超過50多年的歷史，意思是死亡或去世。

例子：By all means enjoy a partnership with a popular celebrity but if said famous person』s clogs decide to pop, you may want to consider cancelling that scheduled post.

That went down a treat

一般很少用於美國的俚語，多用來形容食物值得一試，而且treat一般只用單數。

例子：We are grateful that she has forked out for the baby』s blanket/gonk needs, and so won』t bother to question why she has failed to give me the boxset of classic episodes of The Banana Splits, which I had specifically hinted would go down a treat.

Take the mickey out of someone

也是一個在美國很少見到的俚語，意思是開某人的玩笑或者取笑某人。

例子：That phrase has come back to haunt me on many mickey-taking occasions since.

Itchy feet

這句俚語多用來形容一個人想要嘗試新鮮的事情。

例子：I tend to get itchy feet after 18 months so there must be something special about Football Focus – we』re here today and I』ve still got butterflies in my stomach.

At a loose end

這句話可以形容你很悶或者沒有任何事情可以做。

例子：He』s been at a loose end ever since he retired.

Another string to your bow

用於形容你有另一樣求生或者生存技能，特指可以幫到你求職方面的技能。

As the actress said to the bishop

等同於英語中另一個短語『That"s what she said』的意思，多使用於英國，用來做強調之用。

Cheap as chips

字面意思就容易理解，用來形容遇到再便宜不過的東西時候的激動，多半用在感嘆某樣東西已經便宜到家了。

例子：Only a fiver for a ticket — cheap as chips mate!

與其說是俚語，不如說這句話是老一輩經常教育年輕人所用的一句經典，字面意思其實已經很明確，就是不要浪費一分一毫，因為這些錢省下來都會是很可觀的一筆費用。其實也有點像中國的一句老話：積水成淵，積土成山。

Nosy parker

這個詞是形容那些喜歡管人家閑事的人，如果你實在受不了有些人嘻嘻歪歪喜歡嚼舌頭，那麼你就可以說他們是nosy parker。

例子：Stop being such a nosy parker! They』re having a private conversation!

Aussie (發音為 oz-zie)

Australian的簡稱，可用於簡稱澳大利亞的人、地點或動物。

Bloke

澳大利亞俚語，通常指比較陽剛的男人。

Bloody

原意是血腥，但在澳大利亞它還可以表示非常，bloody主要用於表達程度很重。它經常代替very使用，例如：It』s a bloody hot day！（今天非常熱）

Bludger (發音: blood-jer)

Bludge是非正式用語，用於形容懶散的人，通常熟悉的朋友之間才會使用，Are you bludging？和Are you being lazy？的表達意思是一樣的。

Budgie Smugglers

Budgie原意是小鸚鵡，是當地的一種鳥。Budgie Smugglers 在澳大利亞指男士游泳褲，因為當男人穿著它時看起來像男人把budgie（小鸚鵡）藏在了褲子里。

Chinwag

Fair dinkum

表示它是原裝正品的，這也表示嚴肅認真的，例如：That bloke was fair dinkum（那個男人真嚴肅）。

Lingo

G』Day

Mate

Maccas

「She』ll be right」

它的意思是「她會好起來的」，「Everything will be okay（一切都會好的）」這句話可以對所有需要安慰的人講。

Snag

一般指是燒烤時的香腸，例如：Are those snags cooked yet？（那些香腸熟了嗎？）

Thongs

美國和英國一般稱thong為人字拖，千萬不要把這個詞跟G-string（丁字褲）混淆了，因為澳大利亞人一般稱thong為丁字褲。

Veggies (發音: vej-ies)

它是vegetables(蔬菜)的簡稱，還可以更簡單的表達為「veg」，所以「Fruit and veggies」和「Fruit and veg」意思都是「水果和蔬菜」。

Whinge/Whinger

Whinge是你在不滿一件事的時候抱怨的意思，whinger是指抱怨的人。

Yakka

是工作的意思，特指貿易或體力勞動。Hard yakka意為艱難的、使人筋疲力盡的工作。
