英文的優美體現在什麼地方？不同性格的人在使用英語的時候會有明顯差別嗎？

不知道為什麼，在使用英語交談以及閱讀英語小說的時候，體會不到英語這個語言的所謂「優美的用法」。比如說在閱讀小說時，可以感受到情節的曲折，人物的豐滿但是感受不到所謂作者的「文筆」或者「風格」。不知道是不是因為知識所限，容易有一種「英語是一種簡單直白的語言」的感覺，並不像一些亞洲語言類似中文這樣，可以用許多不同的方法來表達同樣的意思。英語真的比其他語言「簡單」甚至「蒼白」么？能不能舉例闡述一下英文的優美所在？
以及，在中文使用者中，我能通過他們講話或打字的不同用詞造句看出他們性格的不同；不同性格的英語使用者，他們的遣詞造句也會有所不同嗎？local speaker以及語言敏感者能從中體會到此人的性格嗎？

以下兩句話:

I want to be your favorite hello and your hardest goodbye.

I want you to be happy to see me and be sad to leave me.

表達的是一個意思，但一個像詩一般，一個像小學生作文。

所以用詞，語法和句式等元素上任何細微的不同都可能導致強烈的風格差異。

英語的美麗真不是一朝一夕能體會的，獨立感受到的前提是雄厚的基本功，包括龐大的辭彙量，充足的英文閱讀，對西方歷史的掌握和對英語國家風土人情的了解等等。

不管中文英文，文字本身都不存在優美，優美的是在閱讀時腦海里的風景。

剛到美國的時候我和你有過一樣的疑惑。那時候，我讀中文可以在腦海中聽到作者抑揚頓挫的朗讀，眼前一幅幅明媚的畫面。但是看英文就像解碼，雖然完全看得懂，但是無法產生共鳴。直到不知不覺有一天，讀毛姆時，腦海里的聲音不緊不慢並帶著英國口音。讀了不起的蓋茨比則能看到奢靡的宴會以及明亮的粉色西裝。我相信這一切，是因為對一種語言熟悉之後，腦子裡的神經元把個個單詞與視覺、聽覺等聯繫了起來，因此大腦可以更充分地根據文字展開想像。

英文可以簡單，可以複雜，用詞可以精準也可以俏皮。好的作者能用不同的語言描繪出不同的人生。不同作者的用詞用句也能體現出其本人的特徵。英文絕不蒼白。

謝邀。英文作品的風格是很明顯的，只是需要具備一定的英文基礎才能體會。比如海明威小說中頻繁的短句體現出了其男子氣概，傲慢與偏見充滿了轉折式的幽默，等等

其它：Ben是個壞廚師.

英文之美不僅在ta的形式，更在於ta的思維pattern！
