首先是一個綜合性的（應用）數學書：

1. Computational Science and Engineering, Gilbert Strang

這本書把很多數學工具以很直觀的方式呈現，融會貫通，我個人非常喜歡。

矩陣計算與數值最優化是機器學習非常重要的兩個工具，推薦以下兩本：

2. Numerical Linear Algebra, Trefethen Bau

以前圖靈出過翻譯版，可惜最近已經絕版了。這本書用200多頁展示矩陣計算的方法，相比Golub那本巨著，可讀性可能更強一些。這個與[1]都是勝在數學的直觀展示。

3. Numerical Optimization, Nocedal Wright

以前科學出版社出國影印版，可惜最近又絕版了。在國內優化方面的教材似乎更多的使用Boyd的凸優化，但是機器學習深度學習領域很多問題都是非凸的。這本書不以凸優化為主線，而是綜合介紹了一系列的傳統優化方法，更重要的是加入了實踐中很重要的內容，例如大規模優化（LBFGS等），以及計算圖（Computational graph, tensorflow就基於這個）。

NLP方面引進的書籍不多（似乎根本就沒有？），推薦以下這本：

4. Foundations of Statistical Natural Language Processing, Manning

簡明扼要，講述清晰，雖然有點老，還是值得引進

另外是一本基礎書籍：

5. Linear Algebra and Its Applications, Peter Lax

我最喜歡的線性代數書，講得確實是線性代數，但是內容廣度和深度大大超出其他書。曾經出過翻譯版，可惜又絕版了。
